I am currently doing a challenge where I have to do pretty much everything solo as an engineer and I chose hunter for the pets! I’m currently running Survival at level 30 (stopped leveling for the challenge) and wanted to know if anyone had any advice for surviving trash packs/bosses as a hunter?
try and stick to dungeon before cata because the bosses aren’t immune to growl
Just restart as a blood dk / guardian / protpal for the enjoyable experience

Learning where and when you can Feign Death can be key to getting through old/low content solo. I’m not sure how pet abilities work around level 30 on Retail but you might want choose the right pet for the right boss, for example if you need a pet dispel or pet stealth or extra dodge.
You might consider trying Classic Hardcore some time. It includes an optional solo “Self Found” mode which prevents you from accessing mail, the AH or trading with other players. The game doesn’t restrict you from grouping with others but players can choose the full solo experience and restrict themselves.

I appreciate the recommendation! I chose retail because I like where WoW is currently in terms of gameplay and lore. Not to mention, there’s a lot of little collectibles I get along the way during this challenge that might be fun to play with later.
