Can anyone provide a resource or areas/related lvls to go to when trying to AOE level as a mage? I have a few places in mind, but would love opinions on best places to do this and at what levels.
Also, is it worth getting ran through dungeons by 60s or is AOE leveling faster? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Any place that has mobs tightly packed together with the number of ranged mobs in any given pack preferably being none.

My advice would be to not go into an area where people need mobs for quests and AoE farm it.
It’s beyond rude and you look like an effing Dbag when you do it.

Questing is what I recommend. It’s gonna be faster than straight aoe grinding mobs assuming you have a clue on how to quest efficiently. I made it to 60 with 2 zones untouched.
No problems throwing in aoe grinding of quest mobs whenever the situation presented itself… but straight aoe grinding mobs? No thanks. Besides, all the best spots are heavily camped by other mages anyway and if you are on a pvp server you’re just asking to get ganked.
All this will slow you down.
Google this, there are a ton of guides on places to AOE level. Also, the grind versus quest/instance run issue comes with some situational conditions. If you are on rested exp and fighting mobs at or slightly above your level, AOE is king. After that you’re likely better off in an Instance unless finding a group is taking forever. Lastly, do what’s funnest for you and enjoy the ride!
Anywhere theres lots of mobs that give you XP and not much player competition in the area. Oh and you can kill them with relative ease.
I’m sticking to humanoids to farm cloth for tailoring and first aid. I have a lot of toons that need first aid.
I’m going to run dungeons to break the grind up some and to get better gear.
Best thing to do is look up a cloth farming guide or a leather one if you have skinning or prefer beasts. Beasts drop good vendor trash. Humanoids drop money and cloth.
Ofc if you’re trying for speed you might not be looting. Lol.
The way these spawns seem to work it’s a mages dream come true.
there is a website dedicated to the locations for this at every level.
if you are on a pvp server and alliance, dont fall in love with it.
The issue with Humanoids is they scatter and run when low health. Not a problem if you’re prepared, just be aware you will need to round them up or CC at low health.
I too would like this information on horde mage AoE whereabouts! Definitely not for anything nefarious!

Move the Level slider and it’ll show you which areas to grind.

Yea. It can get rough. Especially when you first start or if your gear is starting to fall behind your level curve.
Push your limits and play with stuff. Tweak your gear and make it work. Wanding strays can work so keep a decent wand.
Just gotta play it out and adjust as you can.
Your a rogue asking. So, you can those mages.
this is the site joker tells players to use.

So do you think it would be worth while to pay a lvl 60 to run an alt mage through dungeons?
Ya got a Human Mage fresh ignore…
I am pickin one at a time. Mage starts hitting what already started on. Ninjas my loot… Oh the drama…
That depends on how much gold you have. Lol.
