from what i’m seeing on murlok, most people have quite a few dream crafted pieces.
my question is this. if i dont have a free trophy, and i have to use conquest to buy the trophy i need, what advantage is there between having a piece crafted and just buying a piece outright?
for example. almost everyone on murlok. io has 2 crafted rings.
i’m looking right now and per usual theres a ring with every secondary stat on it at the vendor. so are crafted stats higher or something?
Well you have to get a piece of crafted gear for embellishments. Other than that, standard conq gear tends to be weighted more heavily into verse and crafting provides a piece with two stats of your choosing that are equally weighted on that piece. Allows you to optimize your stats to your liking rather than being locked into the distribution from conq pieces.

Crafted gear lets you pick the stats and they have a 50/50 distribution whereas the standard pieces are heavily weighted towards versatility.
Basically an option to itemize out of vers. Or cook something up on a slot that you can’t buy from a vendor, like haste boots, mastery belt, etc.
These also come with a free socket, which is quite nice.

I’ve only thought about it, but I’m sure some specs do get more damage value from other secondary’s than they do vers. If you were in a shuffle, and you weren’t ever being hit in certain rounds like if there was an Afl lock on your team.
You could swap out to some meme set of crafted gear with like Mastery Haste and drop your vers to 0, and pve raid boss the other team abusing your afl lock friend. Other than that it’s just a tedious way to reforge items / make items with your preferred secondaries
