Hey. I’m new so sorry if I don’t use the right names. But when I bring up my quest lists it says in order to advance story line that I need 12 or 20, can’t remember, renown for one of the factions. What is the best way to raise renown? Is there a link someone can provide that breaks it down. Valdrakkian maybe?

Be sure to complete all the side quests available. They’re the ones that fill out your various “Sojourner of…” achievements. There’s a decent chunk of rep to be gained through those. A number of them are quite tedious to find. In those cases I’ve just been going to wowhead to find where to start them.
Unfortunately other than that the rep grinds are extremely tedious. You either do some incredibly repetitive busy work around the map for dozens of hours, or if you’re happy to go really slowly you can do the absolute pittance of world quests we get every three days.
So where do I even find these? I have no idea what these are.

What I am asking, is there a page someone can direct me to that has this stuff somehow? Like if I want to do X, then do Y and Z. People keep saying WoWhead, but that site is NOT beginner friendly lol. I have no idea what 99% of it means.
The stuff that is “oh just go do X”, for a new player, makes absolutely zero sense. Just not sure what to do.
If you look at your map you can see your wq and even some regular quests marked. Go do those. And look for any side quests you find around as well. You might find some of them just by going to your wq locations. These side quests offer rep usually.
There isn’t really an order btw you just pick a direction and go.
I just flew somewhere and did like 8 quests… I now kinda see how it goes. I didnt realize how the factions were working.
Wow, a lot to take in for a new player. Pretty darn overwhelming but I think that is a good thing to a point. I am with a good guild and they do help a ton.
That’s how you raise reputations EVERY expansion, not just this one.
Generally just do quests (Normally how you progressed normally) but then you got World Quests, and then there’s repeatables like Grand Hunts that dot around the Dragon Isles. Which will give you Rep per completed objective but also rewards turn-in items. Its actually paramount if you want to advance as early as possible, you HAVE to go and grind those community events when they pop up. I wouldn’t recommend it but it isn’t entirely a chore. I usually get a rank up in renown with one of them per day if I focus on it.
