Is there such thing as turning on advanced combat logging to file? I saw there is a /combatlog but didnt see if that means its advanced or not. WarcraftLogs.com I think wants "advanced" combat logs in a file format. One more question: how much resource intensive is this compared to not running -- not noticeable?
I've never noticed a difference in performance, but I'm a huge nerd and build myself a new computer every couple of years.
There is only combat logging, or not logging. There's no "advanced" combat log.

Yes.... Advanced Combat Logging ONLY writes the "advanced" info to file. It's not available to the in-game API.
So turn it on in your in-game System options and you're good to go. (Yes, Advanced Combat Logging does exist, you're not crazy.)

Oh. My bad.
However, I don't think this is what World of Logs is asking for?

its not required for world of logs... I am using a new site -- warcraftlogs.com that lets you track characters movements and stuff during fights
Under the Game Menu click "System" and then "Network" and there is now an option for "Advanced Combat Logging".

this guy knows what's up, thank you very much.
Since it only creates one log file, can both http://www.worldoflogs.com/ and https://www.warcraftlogs.com/ utilize the same "advanced" file? Or are there two files? Or does one file work for both websites?
I think they both use the same log. It is just a matter of choosing which one you wish to use as your combat logging statistics website
The advanced log file seems to not be working for me on WoL. I am getting errors parsing lines that contain the "COMBATANT_INFO,Player-3676-06EE4B29,"etc. But standard logs work fine. Any insight?
