Since the barber shop has been added to WotLK as a more advanced version, allowing for the changing of all character traits rather than just hair and piercings, maybe Blizzard can open some of the locked skin tones to this feature? I’m sorting this into a list from most to least lore-explaned:

Grimtotem Tauren (Magatha is still smack dab in the middle of Thunder Bluff to my knowledge)

Human / Gnome / Blood Elf Cultist Markings (would only really work for warlocks or DKs)

High Elves (wouldn’t really work since it’s just an eye color change to Blood Elves, but yes they do exist as a “skin color” option in the Dressing Room)

Dark Iron Dwarves

“Stone Dwarf” tones (currently only exists for male dwarves)

Dark Trolls (yes they do exist as an NPC skin tone option on WoWhead’s Dressing Room)
Know that this will be completely optional. All “NPC” skin tone options can be seen by going to WoWhead’s WotLK Dressing Room (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/dressing-room) and clicking the “NPC Options” checkbox under Character options (middle circle at the top). Also noteworthy that some of these may require more polishing / work than others.
