My kid is more rewarding than this video game will ever be.
That’s not true. You have to wait until they are adults and move out. Then the fun starts.
Plenty of people have kids and raid competitively.
It’s never a question of “kids or wow”, it’s a question of “wow or other leisure activities”.
When I was a kid, my dad spent way more time watching baseball than I do raiding. Just to give an example.
K, yeah I had it backward, heroic is the old normal. It’s amazing, and I think something of a shame, how much consideration and effort has been put into this branch of the game to try to accommodate everyone.
Why do people with 5k+ forum posts pretend they’re speaking for casuals?
You’re just farming upvotes because this is how you play your end game - on the GD. You are not a casual if you post that much on a forum about the game.
This was in response to the “don’t have kids” joke.
The real casuals are the half of the playerbase that buys an expansion, levels up 1 character, then unsubscribe for 2 years until the next expansion comes out.
You’re saying its better start having fun as an adult. Then stop having fun for 18+ years. Then decide to start having fun again?
who says you have to play the game 24/7? you can do anything you want in this game on a limited schedule. People on these forums lie and exaggerate about the time commitment things take because they want to believe people that raid, etc spend an egregious amount of time that couldn’t possibly be sustainable for a normal person like them, so they make up BS about it and it scares people like you off from trying anything.
And half of the people doing it spend more time on the forums farming upvotes under the guise of being a “casual” than the raiders they chastise actually have to play each week.
Its pathetic.
Yes! I made the cut!
*Fist-pump! *
Lol for real, as soon as I read that I would bet money OP has other people to do those things for him. It’s so easy if you have other people to do it for you guys!
I’m GM of a Cutting Edge raiding guild that’s been around for 8 years.
Here’s what happens in our raids:
Player: “I need to step away, {kid/sibling/parent/whatever} needs something.”
Rest of raid: “OK.”
Flexible was amazing I really don’t know why they didn’t replace LFR with Flexible it was so good!!!
Sure bud making stuff more time consuming like doing lfr to doing normal is the solution instead of just letting people fly thru lfr and getting it . The massive declining player base that done unsubbed would like to have a word with you about wow wasting to much time.
Oh wow, you’ve turned my whole opinion around on the SlimeSaber. I didn’t realize that when you queued for LFR it automatically sent you the appropriate rewards through in-game mail! All this time I thought that you had to go through the fights and participate and spend the time in the instances like you do in any other difficulty!
Phew, that really makes a whole lot more sense than trying to imply that the hard part of doing a raid is supposed to be the time-consuming manual assembling of a group.
Ghostcrawler said years later that he wished they had done Flex instead of LFR in the first place.
I think I know why over gear people in the raid makes it harder for others .I’ve seen it happen.
My god flexible was great i had my main char which i did normal/some heroic bosses on and literally every alt i had at that time had full flex gear it was really simple toned down boss mechanics and it really felt rewarding.
Not to mention there was an abundance of groups, with cross faction raiding now it would work out so well
Such a shame they got rid of a great feature.
They didn’t get rid of it, they renamed it “Normal”.
Yeah, but if they had replaced lfr with it and just kept normal it would have made a difference but hey it is what it is i guess
