What? Are you saying “what you dont know wont hurt you”? Ofc you’d know lmao, there’s thousands of people on the servers and you’d know if the world boss is on the other layer. Have you ever hunted for a world boss before? With layering you’re going to have to abuse the absurdity of layer hoping to stay competitive.
This is the problem with layering, it’s just going to be permanently on now.
They are to stupid to come up with a dynamic layering system that turns off at a certain threshold, a 1 hour queue isnt that bad and layers should be a last resort that only turns on during peak raid hours, not something i have to deal with at 1am in the morning when nobody is online.
I seriously just cannot believe how stupid the people that work for blizzard are, could you be any less clueless about how to run an MMO?

At peak when ZG dropped, we spiked to 2 hours for a few days. This week we had ~1 hr on Tuesday, ~2 hr on Wed/Thurs. This was at peak times. Around 5-6 it was instant zone or sub an hour.
I would gladly wait 2 hours rather than have layers.
At least I would really appreciate Blizzard providing some type of info on how layers will be implemented behind the scenes, what they define as ‘temporary,’ and what an acceptable queue is.
Not sure what it is like on Herod, but i just walk up and take the box anytime i am nearby and the box drops.
Maybe yours is more active there, but i seriously doubt that only 20 people have the same idea in all of herod.
My self, i’d assume no layer is safe.

People where talking about transferring servers. Asmond and Esfand where both talking about it on stream this week. I would bet money both are no longer think about transferring now. Blizzard isnt fixing anything by doing this now.

Are you on a dead server? Its hell in arena. When layering was active you’d pop into a layer to have a positional advantage. And its going to be worse because of how many people are doing ZG right now.
As was the fraction of the server in queues, relatively. If a queue was at peak ~1k people, then that was 20% of the people in queue fighting for it.
please delete your forum presence to, or the experience of your leaving is just a cheap imitation.

Which is 5 times the number of people at that world boss.
And also layering does not mean that you wouldn’t have competition for said world boss.

The vast majority of the time, outside of a key 1-2 hours, we had far less than 200 in queue. In fact, we had 0. Thus, a small faction of people.
It simply negatively effects the competition and improves the likelihood for someone exploiting layers to profit from said boss.
I am part of a discord channel with many guilds and hundreds of people on my server that is dedicated to finding and killing world bosses as soon as they spawn and we still get a lot of competition from guilds on both sides that also have hundreds of more people.
