This has got to stop. Fixing the loophole still has a guy trying to find his stapler.
They’re NEVER going to figure it out.
If you want to win, go play Horde.
This isn’t a theme park where you pick which ride you want to go on and get in line for it.
IT’S A PVP BATTLEGROUND.
YOU DON’T PLAY CHESS, YOU COLLECT BOARDS AND PIECES.
FIX IT, BLIZZARD!!!
Its not rep farmers fault that you lose AV. Its blizzards poor map design and giving horde insane racials (and shaman) that make alliance lose over and over. I know you don’t want to hear it, but horde ARE the superior faction when it comes to ALL things PvP.

Winning AV was never a problem in Vanilla for Alliance.
Something is seriously problematic in the psyche of Alliance players that is enabled by the rep grind which ruins the match experience for all.

Yea come get rep slower as horde with 2 hour queues

The psyche for all of us have evolved over the last 15 years. Horde have learned to take full advantage of everything beneficial they have. 15 years ago, engineering wasn’t that popular. Now almost every horde player with a pvp mindset is using sappers on cooldown. Shaman are THE most broken class in the game and just a few in the back free casting wins a teamfight, every single time.

Blah blah blah. Show me an AV where there aren’t 10-15 afks during a turtle.

Pesky horde with their faction-locked engineering profession

Show me an AV where alliance melee classes can actually contribute to team fights. Again, back to the shaman thing. Warrior charges in, instantly hit with chain lightning/shock and dead in a single GCD.
See “pvp mindset”. Please don’t comment just to comment. It doesn’t help any.

You’re a defeatist and not going to help come up with solutions.
Your solution right now is to cry until BC.
Blizzard should 100% at least lock 59-50 out of the BG so everyone is lvl 60.
I’m actually not against that at all. If i recall correctly, once BC launched, 50-59 had their own bracket. The lower levels aren’t helping at all, but you can’t stop them from queueing.
Edit: I’m not a defeatist. I’m a realist. Ever heard the saying “you can’t win them all”? In this scenario, “the odds are against you” which leads to “you can’t win most of them”.
I don’t care. Blizzard should not be sitting back waiting to release a fix to a broken mechanic. They should be actively trying changes to see what works for the player. Classic is past the halfway point. It’s practically almost over, considering how slow it takes Blizzard to do anything. We’re running out of time to enjoy AV.
Well theres a problem, you don’t play AV to enjoy it. Classic pvp is anything but enjoyable. I’ve played enough AV to be exalted twice by now i’m sure, and i’ve not enjoyed a single game of it.
When the alliance mindset is “Go to stonehearth and farm HKs” they will never win. Rep and HKs are the only goal.

I’ve had one or two games that felt like Vanilla. It can be enjoyable, but 99.9% of games are modern gamer psyches of defeatists.
hi OP. The reason why the win ratio is flipped around this time in classic is because the faction balance is flipped around.
Back in Vanilla, Horde had very fast queues so when they got to AV, they would just try to get some bonus honor before the alliance won. The alliance won because they had higher queue times and tried more. The horde wouldnt defend since it’ll turn into a turtle fest and they’d have lower honor per hour. In Vanilla, the horde complained about the bridge primarily.
Now, with classic, the situation is reversed. The Alliance are the side that’s outnumbered and they have fast queue times. The exact same reason why horde lost in Vanilla; there wasnt much of an effort since a loss meant you can just queue for a game again and try again very quick. This time, The alliance will complain about IBGY
So in the end, it’s part of the faction balance and player base issues
Why is there faction balance problems if there are cross realm BGs?
Uhh, what? Faction balance is horde vs alliance, not realm vs realm.
The faction balance issue comes from the fact that most of the pvp servers are horde heavy (there are exceptions) and most of the pve servers are alliance heavy (with like 2 exceptions). Extrapolate that out and you have more players on the horde side generally interested in pvp.
.
This has played out to the tune of horde having long queues but generally not having to deal with players like Dreamsphere who pretend that somehow Horde and Alliance approach AV with even remotely the same amount of tenacity. We don’t and haven’t since roughly the point where premades were killed and alliance rankers left AV.
.
All that said, kill starting point rezzing.
