I noticed the slight change to the addon tab. I also noticed alot of my addons dont work currently… If its not broken dont fix it isnt a saying at blizzard HQ

This isn’t a Blizzard issue. The game gets updated, the addon authors have to update. Give them time. They’re just regular people with regular lives.

Yeah, addons may or may not work after any game update. It’s on the addon authors, not Blizzard, to maintain their addons.

It is patch day. This happens pretty frequently with major patches.

My guy, addons are ALWAYS broken, every major patch. It’s not a blizzard problem.

What gets me is how these addon developers want everyone to use their stuff, but they’re far too busy to start working on the updates once the release candidate patch is out? I mean, it’s not like Blizzard sprung the patch on us at the last minute.

what happens when they Rush patch lol and release early they should of taken there time, tons of people are also DCING…i cant even connect anymore

What gets me is people not understanding that some of these addons are massive undertakings and the authors have lives outside of giving you a free addon.

They didn’t rush the patch release. If anything, 11.0.7 was probably a bit too long of a patch. We’ve been done raiding for months now, and Siren Isle was the last thing we got.

There’s a massive group that does ElvUI and TukUI, plus tons of independent coders working on their releases. That’s not an excuse for them.
Doesn’t usually take long for a lot of them, sometimes it’s as simple as updating a single line. For others though, hard to say, especially the more robust addons.
Yeah. It is. Because they can’t account for everything that goes live. Just like the game. And there are a lot more addons out there other than those two.
At least my entire UI doesn’t break every time a patch goes live, because I’m not crazy enough to use one of the ones you mentioned.
Did you know Better Wardrobe is one guy? One. Who works full time. Same with many other addons.
The freakin’ patch just went live. Give them until tonight or tomorrow, for goodness sake.
Yeah except for the addon creators have ways of revenue for their addons. Things like patreon. They cant charge for the addon sure, but they have community support and revenue from the addons.
Addon maintenance is the responsibility of the addon authors…not the Blizzard devs.
Obviously.
Very few addon authors use Patreon. And that whole $20 a month from Curse isn’t supporting them.
Let’s cut the entitlement over your precious addons and learn to have patience.
