For those of us not in beta, will there be an opportunity for us to setup our addons prior to the release of Classic?
I know it sounds silly and the #noaddons crowd this thread isn’t for you, but I rather spend some time setting up the game to be played how I want (and honestly how others want via addons).
I know as a rogue I absolutely hate having my energy and combo points in the top left of my screen and not being able to see swing timers/energy ticks sucks too.
Just download and install when the game comes out, takes like 20 min to do
Do it in the stress test like everyone else?
…and don’t believe whoever is claiming to the contrary - most people used addons in Vanilla. Anyone saying differently didn’t play it.

Must of missed it, where they enabled for stress test?
I think he mistakenly means moving the player and target unit frames, which doesn’t require addons.
I’d like to setup a better looking UI than the stock UI, too. I’ll probably just have to endure the stock UI until I’m done leveling or waiting for someone to show up to a dungeon.
Have been enabled for a while now.
However as the Lua API they are using seems to be a mix of Legion and 8.xx BFA stuff with bits chopped off you do need to download special Classic versions of the addons.

Will these be added into the Twitch app you think? I love that thing for addon installs/updates.
You can likely just copy/paste the saved variables from the live version of some of the ported addons for non-classic specific things (like bar replacement addons positioning and what not).
As others said, you can test them during a stress test. The next one is June 19th. If you haven’t already, make sure you signed up for classic beta testing on the beta test opt in page.
you can get some classic addons from https://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/index.php?cid=160&sb=dec_date&so=desc&pt=f
This thread talks about addons being ported: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/were-porting-retail-add-ons-to-beta-come-get-em/
In the addon porting thread an addon developer talked about that and said they were working on it.
If I open the twitch app right now and set it to classic beta it actually says the addons I downloaded from wowinterface are up to date and doesn’t try to update them to a retail version so it might already be working? The get more addons section still shows all the retail addons though.
