Addons blocking keybinds

I’m unable to use keybinds because of two addons primarily, worldquestslist and raider io. I either have to click or disable the addon and reloud UI, and it takes me a long time to reload UI. The problem is I use both of these addons. I raid lead pug raids and need to see who is applying and I have been accumulating gold with world quests leading up to the expansion. This started with prepatch. I’m using default Blizzard UI. I’ve always been fine with default UI in the 10+ years I’ve played this game, but if things like elvui will stop this then I will be happy to switch. Anyone have a suggestion?

Addons can and do force hard-coded keybinds, but ElvUI does not.

An example of this is Guild Roster Manager - which hard-codes (I think alt-J) to invoke its own guild management macro (which it also forces into your library).

I’ve not used the Raider or WorldQuestList addons, but if they’re causing you problems, dump them.

ElvUI is pretty well-behaved in that regard.

I don’t think, however, that you’re going to get the Raider data out of ElvUI.

And if you swap to ElvUI, you’re going to have to rebind some of your button keys and move some things around because of the long-extant chaos of Action Slot assignement to default UI bars (some are tied up in the paging bar, 48 of them are tied up on shape/stealth bars that aren’t relevant to anything but Druid/Rogue characters, and the “Action Bar” edit mode bar names are neither reflective of the actual button bar names nor assigned Action Slots wholely in ascending order).

You’ll have a little setup to do, but I think in general you’ll find it a bit friendlier to predictable results.

Try installing Ace3 (alpha channel) separately. I haven’t had any issues with RIO and keybinds.

see this

presuming they use a bindings.xml file you could manually edit that file and replace the category with ADDONS to see if the issue goes away. if it does report it to the author to have them “fix” it for the moment.
