Trying to push arena and would like to understand more about what abilities other teams are using or have on hand, and how to keep an eye out for them.
Are there any recent videos or articles that you would recommend? Any particular UI setups that work well for you?

You’re going to want Gladius or sArena, BigDebuffs and Omnibar as the total basics. A quick youtube search would bring up some guides.
Honestly I just use default UI with gladius, bigdebuffs, Omnibar, OmniCD, and JaxParty Cast Bars.
The most important ones are gladius (show CC, CC DRs, and enemy trinkets in a much more visual & customizable way) and bigdebuffs. Bigdebuffs just makes it WAY easier to see enemy CDs so you can react sooner. I don’t really notice it anymore, but it was HUGE for helping me learn.
OmniBar is good for tracking enemy CDs (mostly interrupts and major CDs), and OmniCD shows your teammate’s CDs while jaxparty shows what your team is casting. Those are neat, but definitely not required for newer players.
Weakauras are also SUPER helpful, but probably a bit more trouble than they’re worth for a newer player, except for that really popular mes one that makes a ping sound and a big screen flash in response to major CDs.
That being said, I’d focus on your “pve rotation” to do your “go” correctly; you gotta know how to win first. In conjunction with that, focus on trading defensives so you live. Sorry I can’t be more helpful; more than anything you just need practice!
good advice here, ill just add in that UIs are generally personal preference and there are many different ui setups that can work. Id recommend checking out a few different streams and seeing what kind style you like, then customizing it from there.

I need to learn/memorize what opponent spells to look out for. I’m really only familiar with Paladin and Mage (what I play) and Priest (my partner). Is there somewhere that lists the main ones to look out for by class? The ones we’ll be “trading”?
um, generally you want to track things like kicks, stuns/CCs, and offensive cds. You can also track things like enemy defensive/mobility cds too if you want but I usually just track those in my head.
This was about the best list I could find, but it was last updated in 2018. So some stuff may not be in the game anymore/changed since. Another way to learn the spells, is just to read the spells and talents of all the other classes, watching videos on other classes, various pvp guides will help you learn what to watch out for.
