is omnicc anything more than custom timers for cooldowns?
Blizzard should have had a DR tracker in the default UI a long time ago considering how important it is to pvp.
As long as they dont allow the tracking of cds like OmniBar i think this change is fine.
OmniCC/Bigdebuffs basically just show CC duration on nameplates if you want them to
BigDebuffs has the added benefit of customizing raid frames to filter the proper buffs/debuffs on raid frames which honestly I feel like should just be default ui tbh
I feel the true controversy is from the DR trackers, but as for the other 3 addons honestly that customization should just be default in the game I think. Definitely against addons that give CD tracking in any way though or like weak aura’s for “Maledict Incoming” which thankfully aren’t allowed.
I didn’t read all the responses in here, but the simple solution is that blizzard should implement the functions these addons perform into the UI so the addons aren’t even needed.
Maybe not losa tho, that’s a little much =P
But def DR trackers and being able to see more than 4 debuffs on your partners raidframes, stuff like that.
It’s sad really that such obvious things have been neglected.

I feel like he probably meant OmniBar, which tracks enemy cooldowns in a nest little space including kicks. OmniCC iirc just adds some timers to spells / gcd?
They did mean OmniCC, omnibar won’t be allowed. I honestly expect that if they’re making these changes they’re actually planning to just make thse default in the UI (sArena probably instead of Gladius).
No CD tracker’s still which is a good thing.
I am extremely anti-addon in both aspects of the game. The only addon allowed should be details or recount and you don’t need either of those in tourney. Tell blizzard to fix their game then we wouldn’t need addons.
Imo anyone that requires addons to play is bad

On one hand it’s really going to reduce the skill cap of the tourney, sadly. Those players who can play with internal clocks if your CDs/Drs and then next level keeping a clock of their CDs/Drs. Kinda depressing actually…
On the other hand though it might make live balancing better… Rmp was busted for a while but you didn’t see it tourney as it was harder. Now they’ll be able to balance it for live better?
OmniCC isn’t the same as Omnibar.

Some of these add-ons should be incorporated into the UI.
It was always strange that all the teams generally played with add-ons to qualify for lan but then cudnt use them once there.
Tournament players began using scripts to compensate and in some years they would be at an advantage or disadvantage based on friend groups. Example is this year’s maladict weakaura being spread by friends and not being openly shared by players until later cups.
Stopwatch tracking macros can be fun and emersive but certain comps/specs struggle more than others without things like DR tracker.
Dampener comps or melee have an easier time in non addon matches due to less reliance on stopwatch being an example.

Or Whaaz could have…um…waited 2 seconds after kidney shot CD? DR ends in 22 seconds and kidney shot is a 20 second CD so…yeah.
I do feel dumb and/or old asking this again: what exactly am I subscribing to to get access to Jax’s gladius? Googles seem vague.

jax modifies his gladius by changing some code. And his gladius is better imo then regular. So people subscribe to him and he gives them his gladius and other addons hes modified. You can still use regular gladius. Jax just modifies them and makes em better

I think the bigger issue is how good Rog/Mage CC synergy is. That is what should be looked into. Locking someone out for 20+ seconds should not be possible.
