Just wondering if there is an addon that shows that I am cc’d, it can be really annoying to have to look for a stun/silence in the middle of combat.
Weak Auras can do that - it can do a lot - and it will only do what you ask it to do.
If you need help setting up the aura, post back and I’ll throw something together.

there’s also a weakaura for this called Loss of control,
i personally use “Slick’s TBC CC Announcer” weakaura which also announces in /y the CC and the duration as well as when it fades whenever my character is afflicted by cc.

how can you not tell that your stunned? I mean… you literally lose control of your character… like… what

Silenced, for instance, unless you’re looking closely at your bars or see the word on the screen, you won’t know it’s happening.
Rooted can be tough to spot in a scrum if you can’t see your feet.
It comes up.
Provided health > 0:
- If your buttons stop working, you’re CCd * If you can’t move, you’re CCd
- If you have been turned into a critter, you’re CCd
There are alot of partial CCs however
For example silence stops icy touch, death coil, blood boil etc but heart strike, scourge strike and death strike work
Disarm reverses what is blocked
Pacify stops everything but death coil (you can still damage the mob for 2-3 GCDs depending on runic power and rp cap)
I have this addon I use, I’ve actually been using it since original vanilla it’s called my fingers. When my fingers press a button and my character does nothing then then I know I’m CCd
losecontrol is good, used it for a long time with no problems, but I’ve found LoCA is better with omniCC. It looks exactly like the retail built-in cc alert, duration of spells locked etc. It’s updated and works for 3.4.0
