Does anyone know of an addon that gets rid of the talking head? Edit used to do it, but doesn’t seem to do it anymore.

I just looked and there is a check box for the “talking heads” listed there.

Yeah it doesn’t work for me. It hides the talking head window under edit mode. But not actually hide it outside of edit mode. I swear it used work though.
So guildy said, it doesn’t work anymore. Need an addon called no talking head or something. I’ll repost here once I find it.
Edit: Found it, it’s called: “No Talking Heads”. Found it at curseforge app

In the past i used one called Bequiet, i think it still works because i haven’t seen any talking heads in ages.

Yep I see on discord (mistype: curseforge… too many beers). I’m re-doing all my addons. I’ll I have a read over those and see what I go with. Thanks for the help.
I hate the talking heads with a fiery passion, but sometimes you’re doing a quest or an event and you need to know what is being said, and you miss it if you use BeQuiet or whatever and turn them off completely.
I was using Plumber - an addon that made it easy to plant seeds in Emerald Dream. (Among other things.) I went to potentially remove no-longer-needed addons in prep for TWW, when I saw it had an option for the talking head.
“Replace the default Talking Head UI with a clean, headless one. You can hide the transcription if it’s from a World Quest or you’re in an instance.”
MUCH less intrusive and you can put that text wherever you want. Just another option

Seems to be heaps of these addons. I used the one suggested from my guildie and it works. I’ll save this thread for suggestions but. As we all know, sometimes addons like to trigger ui errors. So I’ll keep this thread handy.

I used NoTalkingHead before Blizz added it in the default options.
Do you remember when edit mode worked but? I do. It worked great. No idea why it stopped working for me. I’m on a fresh install too.
yes in edit mode you can move to upper area where you have space, there is also a check box for off.

Yeah when I check it off it makes no difference. It makes the window in edit mode disappear but not the actual talking head outside of edit mode.
