I’m kind of new to RP, and was just wondering if there’s a recommended addon to sort of filter the chat box a bit? For example, when I’m in a busy area I find it difficult to keep up with who I’m actually talking to because everyone within a certain distance of me is also included. Sometimes I’ll miss emotes because of this. I know there’s stuff like this but I wasnt sure what most people use.
Listener works really great for this! It has a chat box that only shows the messages of the person you are targeting or have your cursor over.

I’ll second Listener…I couldn’t really manage in crowds without it.

Does the base TRP addon have everything i’d need or is extended required too?
Depends extended you can make RP items and such. Though I don’t use extended it is fun to toy with!
Extended is not required but it helps!

I was unable to get Listener working for some reason. I think it’s conflicting with another addon. ._.
