Addon placement switching between resolutions

So I know it’s not conventional, but I got a great deal on a gaming laptop that I’m using in place of a desktop. I’ve got my mouse, keyboard, and a 4k TV connected to it, and I’m totally content with the performance in this setup (70 FPS in town on mid/high settings).

The only real problem I have is if I do want to disconnect and actually play on the laptop itself, the placement of some of my addons (raidframes, recount, unit frames) is messed up since I’m dropping down to a 1080p resolution. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s annoying having to adjust them each time. Is there a way to somehow have different position settings depending on which resolution I’m currently using? Thanks!

It would depend largely on the addons. Many (like recount and most Unit Frame addons) will use Profiles to allow for different configurations and assigning them to a character.

In this case, you could set up a profile for each resolution and switch between them. The annoying part being to do this for each addon so you could try Reflux to manage as much of this as possible.
