Alright so I don’t know why… but all of a sudden I am getting an annoying drum beat sound and a silver frame in the upper right hand of my screen that says a rare was found from the minimap… left click to target right click to remove.
I have silver dragon but I disabled it… if I disable all addons it goes away but I don’t have any other rare tracking addons… is it handy notes? is it tom cat’s tours? disabling them doesn’t stop it either so I have no idea what addon is constantly going off but it is driving me insane since rares arent rare for 75% of the game
RareScanner and NPC Scan are other rare tracking addons that give alerts as well.

If you are using Rare scanner, go in and disable audio alerts. You can also change other settings, like not tracking rares in particular zones. I know it was telling me about rates when I visited Voldun to kill the world boss, so I just turned off the zones.

oh man… I just went down the list one at a time and didn’t even realize i had npcscan installed… twitch must have installed a backup or something… Thanks for the attempt to help, just me being blind it turns out lol

Delete npcscan. Silver Dragon for old world rares and rare scanner for WoD onwards is all you need. You will find tomcat tours redundant as well.
