Addon for mining in Outland

I’ve decided to join the dark side.

Does anyone know of an uncomplicated addon available thru wowup that will make mining nodes magically show up on my map?

I am trying to complete Outland blacksmithing, need a gazillion ore mats and after just doing it for engineering on another character, I am willing to cheat :smiling_imp: .

gathermate2 is what I use. It tracks nodes you’ve collected. I know that gatherer used to work, but it stopped in like legion?

It does have an import feature for nodes, but I’ve yet to use it.
Bastion nodes I’ve picked herbs in, for example:

They can be set to fade out as well.

yeah, gathermate is good for predictive mining. Rocks/flowers may not be in the same exact circle it records but they are usually close by.

Better than going out blind really.

Also if you get the Farmer addon, you can get a HUD as you fly around that will point you where you need to go.

Gathermate is not my friend :cry:. It is actually the reason I included uncomplicated in my description. And it won’t let me try it again because it is showing as installed even though I removed it.

What I have been doing is going back and forth with this map (and another) from this site and was looking from something that would have this info just show up directly on my map.

I’ve tried gathering addons in the past and none of them really appealed to me. I always fall back on my OG method of farming ore - fly in circles around the zone following the cliffs (especially in Zangarmarsh there’s a ton of adamantite along there). Same method in Hellfire will get you lots of fel iron.

Nagrand is really too big to bother with as nodes are far between. Netherstorm is large but it use to be where I went if I needed khorium. For general ores, I’d just stick to Hellfire and Zangarmarsh honestly. If you’re having problems finding nodes due to other players, try turning warmode on (even better if you have a Chromie Time-level character with flying and mining).

To be an effective miner/herber, you need GatherMate2 and Routes.
