Returning player with a new player joining me, I am use to the WoW questing system, but he isn’t. Is there a quest add on that does more then just highlight mobs needed for quests? Like something that puts an icon over their head? I wont be questing with him full time, so was looking for something to help him out to ease his fustrations…lol Any help appreciated, thanks.
No, the best option I can think of is to have him get three addons: Wholly, Grail, and TidyPlates.
The former two are just the quest guide-type addons. They make it easier to locate quests, quest locations, etc. The latter makes enemy nameplates easier to see, although it shows plates for ALL enemies, not just quest target ones.
Honestly though, your friend is probably going to best off taking things slow. The game itself is designed to be relatively minimally frustrating, even for new players, and locating quest target mobs is not one of the more difficult things your friend will have to learn.

Quest mobs have a golden circle around their feet. If your friend is having difficulty seeing it, perhaps playing with the graphics settings could help.
Actually this is something you can change in Tidy Plates. I have it set up to only show plates for quest targets. Tidy Plates also put a giant yellow exclamation point over them so this might be something the OP would find useful.
