Adding New Races (Dranei + BE) to Classic without adding TBC

i love Draenei and Blood Elves , in face the only horde race i can tolerate is blood elves as they looks graceful and beautiful compared to other horde races.

just curious , is it possible to get JUST the race (Draenei and BE) added to future classic WoW and not adding whole TBC stuff ?

so the max lvl stays at 60 but with 2 additional race ?

no jewel crafting so Dranei racial might be slighty changed…

Nah, fam. Arcane Torrent would severely screw up the balance of the game.

No.

First, Draenei are horrible. I hate them. This is the only iteration of the game ever to be blessedly free of the out-of-place space goats. The lore was carefully crafted around them later, but at the time, they just unceremoniously dumped a bunch of sci-fi spaceship aliens into a medieval-flavor RPG, and it was atrocious. Take your blueberry with horns and be happy in the BC museum release when it comes.

Classic’s success has all but guaranteed that a BC classic of some kind will happen, so just…look forward to that.

Secondly, Arcane Torrent was unbelievably OP, and removing the faction-exclusive paladin and shaman from Vanilla would totally destroy that part of Vanilla’s flavor and balance. And no, you can’t have the Draenei and the Belves without pallies for horde and shammies for alliance because everything about their capitals and starter quests was built around it. They can’t put them in the game without those classes unless they seriously butcher a bazillion other things to remove it.

So no. It has to wait. They were not part of the story in this iteration of the game. Their time comes later, and I’m pretty confident we’ll have access to it at some point in the future.

If you start adding stuff to Classic that wasn’t originally in Classic, where would you place an arbitrary cut-off? Specifically around the features you personally want to see? What about goblins and worgen? And pandaren? Why shouldn’t any of those get in if we’re just adding races out of context?

Classic is more or less a time capsule for how the game would have looked like back in 2004. For everything else, there’s either retail or potential specific expansion servers.

Though, I have to admit, I don’t see fracturing the community 7 different ways to ever be considered a good idea.

There is no good idea. Every path forward is problematic. Splitting the community seems to be the way with the least problems.

I want them to come out with BC without the Races. Keep pally alliance only and shamans horde only

what balance? The only balance is that classic has it’s unbalanced as hell.I’m fine with it being unbalanced but please don’t spout off about balance concerns when it’s in the state it’s in.

BFA has them so play it and leave classic alone.

We should get Allied races one day and it should be High elves for the Alliance and Ogres for the Horde just to troll retail GD.

Weeping Jesus on the cross.

Won’t happen and shouldn’t imo.

“Classic represents an era full of rough edges and inconveniences and there are things that have been smoothed out over the years,” Hazzikostas says. “But there is a certain charm to some of those rough edges. They have clear upsides. The lengthy travel time, the fact that it can take you 30 minutes to get from Thunderbluff over to Silverpine as a tauren shaman wanting to get their water totem is offset by the fact that it encouraged you to rely on mages or warlocks for easier transportation. The fact that your pet would run away and leave you forever if you didn’t feed them enough was offset by a greater feeling of connection to the pet.”

Just as importantly, Hazzikostas says, is that Classic “is what it is” and that players have to take “the bad with the good”—even if that means missing a boat because a priest mind controlled you. “There is no lobbying the developer to change that because the game is what it was in 2005,” he adds. “It has to be accepted, which then frees everybody to find all the positive aspects, all the upsides of that friction and those inconveniences because there’s a certain acceptance of the downsides.”-Ion

May as well just put pandas in classic while you’re at it

Now’s the time. Now, Blizzard can finally put in Murlocs as a playable race!

Let’s switch it up a bit. Let’s give the Blood Elves to the Alliance… Horde can have the Draenei.

i was refering of one possible future of classic withiut TBC or any other expansions.

when the classic realms stayed at 60 , there will be new additional development for classic only , and that maybe new raid , new dungeons , new race and class , all worked together in classic without forcing it to “expand” beyond 60
