Adding more lightning effects to abilities ⚡️

Hello fellow ladies and gents,

I have been wishing blizzard to give arms/fury warriors more lightning themed abilities like we used to have like thunder clap back in MoP. Also because our class hall is literally with Odyn, why not have warriors with more “Thor” like abilities to add to the fantasy of the class. I know prot already has thunder clap and with the glyph, it looks like an actual thunder strike. Same with the victory leap and a glyph. Lots of people say to just play enhancement shaman but let’s be honest, the playstyle is no where near as good as arms or fury imo so that’s why I’m making this post to push it for warriors.

My thoughts are to add a cloud effect with lightning bolts hitting the ground when you whirlwind or blade storm. Kinda like when Boomkin’s used to have the Hurricane ability. Another thing that could work is to add a stormstrike visual effect to Mortal Strike or Bloodthirst that looks similar to how Stormstike for Enhancement Shamans looked pre-legion. I think stormbolt looks good enough as it is but some melee lightning effect abilities would be fantastic and really add some flavor to the class. Just my opinions and wants for my favorite class. Let me know what you guys would want to see for yourselves.

Lightning is cool. Fire is cool too

Maybe just make more glyphs with each theme so we can have lightning and fire warriors.

Like we can choose to have a lightning charge instead of the fire one.

I always thought it was a bit weird fury’s relics in legion were storm and fire. I really would’ve liked to see more abilities like that back then. Right now I’d just take more abilities.

That’s a really good point I didn’t even take into consideration :thinking::thinking::thinking: and now I remember that there was one entire tier of skins for fury were literally lightning themed dragon swords.

Personally, I’m hoping that they’ll re-design the aesthetic of the class to be centeres around the black dragonflight.

If we ever saw ths implementation of a Dragonsworn class, this could also become an interesting selling point for that expansion.

Red, Blue, and Bronze dragonflights are embodied by the Dragonsworn; Black and Green embodied by Warriors and Druids, respectively.

Would be dope.

Yes! The thunderclap glyph is my absolute favorite glyph since glyphs have become purely flavor.

Since storm bolt is acessable across three specs how about a glyph that changes the animation to raising your weapon up (similar to the judgment animation) and a massive bolt strikes your enemy.

I would love to see Glyphs that modify big button abilities such as avatar and reck. For example how about a glyph that allows you to transform into a valkyr or lighting dwarf (think wrath) or an actual stone collosus similar to its tooltipimage

I think blizzard should add new glyphs for each of the classes each patch. Or atleast For each major content patch.

Dude I want all of this lol maybe glyphs are the easy fix on blizzard end. But lightning strikes and Valkyrie avatars sound fantastic!

Remember ignite weapon? I don’t think it was ever a good ability, but with the new animations and tech they could probably make it look nice. Not lighting, but you get the idea.

You can turn into an Iron dwarf right now using Iron Boot Flask + spell macro

It’s really cool to use it with Stoneform :smiley:
