It is no secret that Monks could use an extra bit of utility. Now that paladins have brez and evokers got bloodlust, Monks are less likely to be chosen for certain groups. I think a neat addition to the class tree would be a brew that we throw, similar to bonedust, that acts as a Soothe and Mass Dispell. Monks having a soothe only makes sense. And adding a mass dispell to another class would be huge for certain M+ weeks. Would this be too overpowered? A 1 minute or so mass dispell/soothe in the class tree? I think it would be flavorsome and good.
In my opinion something like that would be interesting.
We already have a mass dispell so we would also be the only healer that has 2.
Overpowered… On the one hand it would be indeed very strong. On the other hand you can aswell bring a priest and have a 2nd mass dispell as well.
I think of it as a nice idea but I understand that this can easily be seen as OP, though.
Reading your title I got myself an idea (I think I also read it somewhere) that would also make MW a lot more valuable:
If our target from Soothing Mist will receive a damage reduction (we do have something like that in our class tree - but only for ourselves. Putting this on a target would actually be decent as it can be kept up almost permanently if the statue did the same).
I can’t imagine it would be too overpowered since Blizzard doesn’t rely on large numbers of debuffs for mechanics all that often.
Same topic but had some interesting ideas
I mean, of all the classes in the game – it feels like monk makes the most sense to have a soothe ability lol
Just let them target enemies with soothing mist to, well soothe them XD…
Ring of Peace should dispel enrages. Could also add a choice talent between two RoPs like Revival where one doesn’t have a knockback and just enrage dispels (I think the KB one also enrage dispelling is fine though). Fits the name of the ability pretty well.
The only ring of Peace choice node should a 100% be disarm and silence like the original version if we’re going to do anything like that.
