I want to clear out my bank and was hoping to do that with Retails transmog system and void storage but with it being removed because it was tied to transmog is honestly an out of touch decision. I was planning on putting items in there for storage. Trinkets, quest items, reputation rings, items that are no longer in the game, I kept these because they hold memories but I’m no longer using them and so I’d like a place to keep them other than my bank.
Please consider putting void storage back into the game.
Agreed, I also didn’t exclusively hold onto pretty pieces of gear for transmog…in fact, transmog was my last consideration - I held onto things for memories. Excessively sentimental over pixels, sure, but I don’t delete old photos to clear up hard drive space, I put them onto backups. Same sort of thing.
I’m really surprised that that’s not what we got. For some reason, I was under the impression that we were going to be getting a Cataclysm with changes sort of experience, and had just sort of assumed that as being one of them.
What’s funny is that Void Storage was added alongside transmog, items in Void Storage could not be transmogged and it was explicitly for storage separate from transmog.
Yet people seem to defend the decision to not add it out of what seems to purely be spite for players that do hold onto certain items.
I mean, I don’t care about PVP and it wouldn’t affect me if it was removed but I doubt many of those same players would appreciate it if Blizzard went “yeah we need to release Cataclysm now for monetary reasons but we cannot get PvP working so we’re removing it, just PVE lol”
