Add Void Elf High Elf Paladins to help Balance Mythic + Alliance Side

I may not be able to play my void elves anymore, I won’t be part of this constant bs.

That’s all I need to know when discussing things related to the forums. That’s how context works.

Oh yeah, we’ll see how long it takes for you to start defending more dimwitted demands because “it’s something they really want to have”.

They will be fully absorbed into the goody two shoes HUMAN Alliance and meld into the background behind every human hero like every other Alliance race.

The time where they were doing interesting, questionable things will be gone.

I totally agree. They never should bring high elfs to the alliance. But since they wanted to do a new elf race, it needed to be them, because alliance players would never be happy with any other.

I wouldn’t mind void elf paladins but night elf paladins would make the most sense so far at least. I’ve said it before but Tauren use the sun, zandalari use the loa so Night Elf’s using the moon or elune wouldn’t be much different at all. To be a paladin it seems you just need strong faith in something that can provide a form of power like the sun or the loa or the moon or the light.

And we have delas moonfang who became a paladin anyway, I was expecting nelf paladins in bfa or SL so I’m surprised it hasn’t happened yet.

Blizzard can’t let alliance be anything other than boring lawful good. That’s why tyrande was ok with having her people burning to death. Anything REMOTELY questionable in the alliance is immediately scraped. They are purposely boring.

Also, I’m not so sure “void and light can exist together.”Don’t Alleria and Turalyon literally explode if they touch each other?. Not to mention it was not the alliance high elves who first became paladins. It was the horde blood knights. And I doubt any horde blood knights were with the leader of the void elves whenever they decided to study all the crazy void nonsense.

The helf entitlement continues unabated.

No, it didn’t need to be them.

It could have been Furbolgs, Vrykul, Jinyu… or properly developed Void Elves.

I agree, playing a void elf or a worgen is the only way to play as a hot guy on Alliance, and neither can be paladins, which is a problem. I’ve played a holy paladin in the past and would be interested in doing it more if I could make an attractive male holy paladin that is the same faction as my main. Seems weird that there’s this totally fake lore reason for why void elves can’t be paladins but there’s no class void elves can be that blood elves can’t.

/sigh

You worked on the writing for Shadowlands?

What is the lore reason for why void elves are allowed to be holy priests but not holy paladins? There isn’t one

Ah yes those light wielding void paladins. Of course.

Makes total sense when you think about it.

I said a new elf race. Of course there’s many more interesting races to add on the alliance. But the point is, they could bring some new elfs, the most amazing elf race, with great lore, great city, great model, and alliance players would still whine for them not being helfs. Nobody asked for this elfs blizzard, we want high elfs!!! 10 years from now they would still be OH BUT WHERES THE HELFS???

They should have commitedd with the void elfs, but they needed that subs back. Sad.

Why is the reason why forsaken powered up with necrotic energies can be holy priest?

Gameplay reasons.

Holy void elves priests don’t make sense in the canon, but they can’t leave a single race without a spec, just like they can’t take away the shadow spec of LFD even if one of those makes no sense either.

So gameplay reasons are good reasons to contradict the lore? Guess what, the OP is asking for void elf paladins to be added to the game for gameplay reasons.

Which is why I ended up with properly “developed void elves”.

Heck, they could have given them Nightborne for all I care.

Both of those would have made more sense than turning blood elves into pandaren.

But it’s clear that nowadays, Blizz doesn’t see reason.

Because shadow priests for VEs make sense. To apply to the lore, they’d need to be deprived of a single spec.

Paladins are the literal antithesis of VEs… for pete’s sake, they have VOID in their name.

Not going to say this about all Alliance players but it seems like every time we see alliance players go make one of our leaders go crazy or make us have some morally grey and Blizz gives it to them . The very same people go “Blizz what are you doing , you are ruining us ?!?!” “This is HORDE BIAS REEEEEE”

No. Void elves are not high elves. Paladins were never a high elf thing. They were a blood elf thing. Void elves are still void elves despite being turned into high-elf lite.

Stop trying to ruin them even more. Because that’s what you’re doing. The void elf identity has been ruined. Trashed and beaten. And it’s terrible Blizzard allowed it.

You brought a tear to me eye… I’m not the only one who noticed how a big portion of the Alliance playerbase can’t handle grey morals in their faction…
