For some, toys are quite annoying and there is no reason why they should put up with them, particularly with toys like the Piccolo of Flaming Fire that still have an effect on party members.
That being said if I had mystical powers and could control Blizzard’s decisions, I would not remove toys or pets just because I personally dislike them. Why? Because others enjoy them and I believe in having more options, not less. As such, being able to opt out of such things is a net improvement for everyone (except for trolls). The people who like or are not bothered by toys can simply leave such an “opt-out” button unchecked, and those who don’t like them can simply turn them off. Everyone wins.

Oh god, stop asking for more nerf’s to the toys. They have been nerfed to the point there isn’t much fun with them unless in a party or raid group.
EDIT: Sorry, read to fast.
I like this idea, as long as they remove the raid/party thingy for toys.
Quite the contrary, I am not asking for nerfs. The Piccolo was nerfed somewhat recently, and I object to that decision. They should’ve let it as it was and not restrict it to small groups.
The amount of people that don’t like toys, I think, is rather small so instead of nerfing items for a lot of people, because of a few people who don’t like them, they should allow the small minority to opt out of them. As I said, everyone wins without needing nerfs or anything like that.
I would support an opt-out function, if it silences the damn train set. ESPECIALLY when it is put down at the start of battlegrounds and make everyone’s ears bleed.
