Add the AH Mount to the Blizz Store for $799.99

GOGO Tinfoil Hat

Not a coincidence that many of the new mounts are priced just under a token. The $800 mount is a diversion: “They’re not being sold in the shop, you can get them all for gold in game, this is not to sell tokens, see this one is 5,000,000 gold!” while they sit back and think ‘that’s a lot of tokens’

All these mounts are token bait. They’re basically already in the shop, just using a 3 step distribution network.

token > AH > Mount vendor

May as well just put them in the shop as well or pull the token limit. Would change nothing except the token CD.

Yup, gotta retain those record breaking profits even if that means firing over 800 employees, lowering the quality of the game, and pushing more of the game into the cash shop…

Not a fan of the store. Not with WoW. It makes sense in something cosmetic but the mount is one of those rewards you should be playing the game for.

And don’t worry it isn’t being removed. Just save gold and play the game and you’ll be at 5 million.

If this were pre-token, I’d say this was a mount to balance out the wow economy a little. A huge gold sink. But now that tokens exist, it’s tough to disagree with what you’re saying.

I stand by my constant motto of, “you do you.”
But I will admit I’m bitting my tongue not to wonder how some people live paycheck to paycheck while others drop 800$ on a virtual dinosaur.

I paid for 2 weeks of token caps, and I still have to wait 3 more weeks because 4 weeks of gold tokens purchases won’t quite cover it all.

Companies have to make money to continue…we all know that.

But how is another question?

Unless I win the lottery, I don’t see having this 5 or 2 million gold mounts or some other large amount of gold for a carry.

Oh well such is life, the haves and have nots.

Yes, companies want the money, but the ones that want it more and will do what ever it takes as some have done is another question.

My time is up and I have to spend money to continue if I want to keep playing this companies game.

kma Activision and there is room for you too Blizzard.

What I was saying is that having to wait a month to get enough tokens isn’t that long of a wait. OP was implying we need the AH mount in store because with the token weekly cap it would take a month to get 5 mil if you maxed the cap each week. And he was saying taking a month to get enough was too long.

My point is that even if it takes a month because of the cap, you’re still making really good time. It’s not a long wait considering you’re making 5mil in one month (via tokens).

Earning 5mil via regular means in a month would be insane unless you’re Gallywix himself.

Sorry if it was unclear

Ah yeah I completely misunderstood what you meant. Thanks for the clarifications.

2 more weeks to go! Seriously Blizzard, at least remove the token cap. Don’t you want money!?

The trading card game mounts shouldn’t be touched and left right where they are. But if they did do that, the people that still have the promo codes would get screwed over, if you want to call it that since blizzard would be selling the mount at a lower price.

Things like AH and Tmog will become an mog thingy for your mounts sooner than later.

Shoulda bought gold when tokens were at 200k, breh.

…Because you have $800 to drop on something as ultimately useless as a virtual mount?

Can I give you my student loan info?

I have it and it is not useless.

Gold making tip #2046 - Use your brutosaur to make it easier to make more gold faster.

The way they do it now is not really p2w persay, but adding it to the store would definitely take it up a notch and pretty much make it a p2w game ( as far as economy control / making gold goes.)

Correct, can’t quote you though on this lame phone at work.

Garrison AH cost me 400 k gold, which my Hunter easily had in legion. She messed around there enough that she has that Garrison hearth and the nearby ship yard one.

So way cheaper than 5 mill, nearly as convenient, how often does one need to AH?

Within the game, it is very useful. “Ultimately useless” as in it is just pixels that offer an otherwise available in-game convenience. If I am going to spend $800 dollars on something, it is going to be something that is still useful when I get bored with WoW.

Unless I am the ONLY person to have that $800 thing, then I would consider it.

Well… you can get a battlenet balance and buy other games too if you get bored with wow… and gift games to other people. My balance is maxed and i have gifted a few games + expansions for other people… also have all the other games too paid for. (CoD, Destiny, etc…)

You actually do work towards something, that is free entertainment.

Work all you want. but there are those among us who value their time better than to just sit infront of a computer screen and spend hours and days of their life to accumulate 5 million gold in-game over a month, especially those who have money pouring out of their pockets or more money than they know what to do with… enough to just buy the mount with just the loose dollar bills between and under their couch cushions…

While I may not have the excess money to ever justify paying $750 on a virtual item, I still do agree with the OP… It’s better to have the option to just buy the mount, rather than having no option… Then the time saved instead of farming gold you can literally make more money in real life over the same amount of time saved from not wasting it on farming.

i.e. takes average player 1 month to farm up 5 million gold from scratch after grinding/farming for 8 hours per day… or you can simply work for 1 month at a random easy minimum wage job, quit, and end up having more than enough to buy the auction mount and every other mount, pet, and cosmetic item on the in-game store.

Yup, that is what you would pay. While my entertainment budget could easily handle that cost. I’m not that stupid.
