Add the ability to transmog a 2 hand weapon over DW so people stop talking about it

Please just add it as an option so people who care about the particular class fantasy and aesthetic can have what they want without impacting gameplay, game feel, balance, and interactions with loot acquisition that a good number of posters have raised concerns about the potential issues that implementing 2-hand enhance would have in these aforementioned areas.

I would certainly be one of those people who would transmog a beefy 2 hander over my DW weapons. But don’t introduce issues into a spec that has been doing wonderfully all of DF and cause it to suffer the same way Frost DK has been suffering from since the beginning of SL. KEEP GAMEPLAY OUT IT.

Naw fam. Impact the feels. Impact the loots! So a str weapon now has an Agi option too. So now we go for Surv Hunter weapons. Bring the flavor! MAKE THE GAMEPLAY GREAT AGAIN!!!

Not only that, but 2H Enh hasn’t really been a thing in uhh… 17 years. DW overtook it in TBC. You know, the first xpac.
Sure it MIGHT have been okay still in TBC, but come WOTLK it wasn’t a thing. It was gone, and it shouldn’t return outside of cosmetics.
Yet people keep talking like it’s a fond, long lasting memory.

I would be ok with that. The amount of posts we get by people on this section of the forum asking for 2 handed weapons gets in the way of real issues with the class.

Vanilla wasn’t a thing for 17+ years. They brought out classic and people loved it. Time in between =/= bad idea.

I’d prefer to stay well away from it. Look what has happened to frost DKs trying to balance 2h vs dual wield. Don’t put that evil on us.

Even if its just cosmetic at first, it then becomes a slippery slope. Don’t let this nonsense get any kind of a foothold. Just tell them no and move on.

0 reason not to let us do this honestly. doesn’t impact gameplay and the people who want dw can ignore it and the people who want to see their shaman’s lugging around a huge weighty 2h finally get that feeling again.
