Add Pale Skin Color Option for Void Elves

Simply adding an option to make Void Elves have light pale skin, or tan, instead of different hues of purple, would greatly satisfy many people wanting High Elves. Void Elves are just a variation of Blood Elves and High Elves, so adding the option should not be too hard, considering Alleria Windrunner is pale. Also, in Telogrus Rift, there are High Elves and Blood Elves both being trained in Void. So, adding a pale skin color option would be benificial to all parties. Sure. They wouldn’t literally be High Elves, but they woukd look pretty darn close, so that would go a long way versus making a new High Elf allied race.

No, it wouldn’t.

I think it would

Gonna go with a no. Void elves have the most customization of the Allied Races (except Mag’har) and are the most popular AR by far. Rather than sit here and keep trying to turn them into something they’re not, that being high elves, we should be expanding upon customization in what they’re intended to be.

Bring forth Old God customization for them. Tentacle flesh, multiple eyes, sha-claws, etc. We should be embracing what they are, not trying to erase who they are because a certain crowd of people can’t let go.

Remember when Sylvanas burned the tree to kill the Night Elves’ hope but it just made them angry?

This would be the same. It would be a poor attempt to kill High Elvers’ hope of seeing High Elves added, and it would just make them angry.

True. It’d honestly be a bit much to add another Allied Race with the same model at this point (though it’s certainly the ultimate goal: to be able to play one of the Alliance’s most iconic races in its unadulterated form). Giving Void Elves the option to unlock normal flesh tones and hair colors while still having the silly in-combat void form would be a good compromise. Void Elves are currently not a compromise when it comes to the High Elf conundrum because they’re nothing like High Elves at all.

How about we give more faces to FemTaur?

They have like 2.

I’d totally be down for more “grotesque” options. The only thing info that really makes them feel “Void” is just the few select hairstyles and their skin tone.

Give me more tentacles and corruption! Make em more distinct from Blood Elves.

I agree with you about asding more old god customization, but i still believe adding pale skin tones would not hurt. They would look like High Elves, which would go a long way to satisfying that high elf craving, since its obvious we’re not getting High Elves due to the existence of Void Elves on the Alliance. Im not saying for the Void Elves to lose their identity. They would still be able to turn into their Void form in battle and stuff. I’m just saying they could have a pale skin color like Alleria, and that would be the closest we would ever get to High Elves. Just a thought tho lol

Me too. I’d love to see them bring forth Old God specific things so people could sit here and identify with whichever Old One is whispering to them. Give them Yogg-Saron mouth-eyes, and give the monks sha-claws that twitch.

I’d be so down. It’d be fantastic.

Dude if I could be a Sha elf idk if I would play horde anymore. That would be so dope! A sha elf monk!

Can we at least start with multiple eye colors first? Like come on, they don’t even have void purple.

White people elves are on the Horde, waiting for you.

Okay, to clarify for everyone.

I am PERSONALLY not wanting “white people elves.” I’m just proposing a compromise to all the High Elf people begging for them to be the next Allied Race. Considering we have Void Elves now, we are most likely never getting High Elves. This is just a compromise. I am not personally wanting it, my main is a Void Elf and i like him the way he is. All I’m proposing is a compromise. I am not personally wanting Void Elves white, but it would just be an optional compromise.

Why on Azeroth are you advocating for something you don’t want? Put the sword down man, let other people who actually want this fight the battle. Go enjoy the game and your character as is.

Aren’t you void elves pale enough? go to the beach ffs.

I can think of at least one quick way to do so.

Let’s say for example, the Silver Covenant is out on patrol and stumbles upon a rogue Void Elf experiment. Something goes haywire and Vereesa and co get turned to Void Elves. Working together, the Alleria helps the Void Elves control the void and let’s them regain their natural complexion back at will (like Alleria).

That’s the thing: We already have two “compromises”. People don’t want compromises. People want what they want.

I always wanted to play as a Man’ari Eredar. The Draenei were literally a compromise to that. They wanted playable Archimondes, but Archimonde was bad, so they made “good Archimondes”. Except being bad was part of Archimonde’s charm. So it doesn’t fill the role. I still want to play a Man’ari and I can’t.

Blizzard has to either give people what they want or don’t. These “compromises” will never be enough.

Adding on to this, Blizzard has to stop with the “No, but who knows in the future?” nonsense. This is what keeps the high elf crowd going. To this day, the high elf crowd will say: “No, Ion didn’t say no! He said not right now! But that could mean anytime in the future!” Despite Ion saying no twice and telling them if they wanna play a fair skinned elf, go Horde. Direct answers without the “but” will make life easier for everybody involved.

Ion doesn’t know what he’s talking about and won’t be game director forever. High Elves are an Alliance race and they’ll be requested until they’re playable. Proper High Elf skin tones for Void Elves would go a long way toward being a real compromise on the issue.
