Because they won’t throw out something established in lore that has been consistent since forever. Segregation between lore and gameplay can only stretch for so long.
Blizzard now: “Light and Void don’t mix”
Blizzard in your moronic alternate reality: “We take it back, they can mix, but we only say that to justify this one race/class combination that people begged for and wouldn’t make sense otherwise”
They gave you new skins for void elves. They are not high elves like in the Silver Covenant, they are infused with the Void and had their very beings changed by it, and regardless of skin color, they still have Void hair. They don’t have the same hair colors as blood elves because otherwise, they’d be no different from pandaren, but with faction-specific racials.
Not every decision comes down to money. The devs aren’t going to look at a few hundred posts of people on GD begging for a nonsensical new race/class combo and then decide to add it just to appease a few hundred spoiled millennials who want to play Horde without actually playing Horde.
You’re not even a subtle troll, OP. Yuck.
Yet they already did all that by giving Alliance not high elf high elves, now they can just give us paladins and we can make due. You seem to forget all the stuff for void elves was made to appease the baby belf players crying over it even though it does not impact their actual gameplay in anyway what so ever, and it won’t when they give us Paladin.
Sucks you got flagged.
I want Dark Paladins, they use the darkness present in light itself, light has a dark side, actually scientifically this is true, and I get shot down just like you are.
I think Blizz should introduce some darker Paladins, screw all this light baloney!
A Paladin is a heroic warrior type, so I want to embrace the darker side of light, for example I don’t ‘bubble’ me I ‘bubble’ the enemy, causing them to take all there own damage in a small contained sphere of destruction, messy but fun.
Many have asked for this, but Lore chads always bring the pitchforks dude!

Yes just let go my friend because it doesn’t impact you personally in any ways at all what other players want to play. Oh and thanks to people like you giving up that losing fight we will for sure get Void elf Paladins just as we did getting all the customization’s etc… since blizzard found that none of you are willing to do anything about it like canceling sub and STAYING unsubbed so they are just losing out money for no reason when they could make many more people happy and even bring lots of people back to the game who want alliance High elfs and especially high elf Paladins.
Void Elf is just a name, you know. Just like Blood Elf doesn’t mean they cut themselves while listening to Creed. If they’re going to shoehorn High Elves into Void Elves then they should have all of the High Elves’ class options, including Paladin.
If you object to this on “lore” grounds, I leave you with this:
Wildhammer Dwarf Warlock. It’s coming.
Hello, I’m the Yin to the Paladin’s Yang. I’m exactly what you are asking for.
Can’t even imagine how sad someone who gets sheer fury out of seeing other people enjoy themselves that don’t even remotely involve him.
That ship sailed when we Dimension/Time traveled to Draenor and it’s only been getting worst since.
But also ignoring Light forged Death Knights, Undead priests, Void Elf priests.
Blizzard obviously knows how to find ways to make things work, Void Elf Paladins can easily use shadow as a substitute for Light, the same way every Horde paladin aside from BEs use a different version of “paladin”, without it being what the Alliance actually considers “The Light”.
Your tantrum is not only unearned, it’s sad.
I know it, trust me I get Death Knight shoved in my face every single time I mention dark paladins.
Y’all are closer to Necromancers in plate than Paladins I feel.
If that’s true you should seek help immediately suicide is no joke.
Edit: Oh you removed that post probably a good idea if you were joking about suicide. If not again seek help right away and talk to someone.
Then you should get professional help, instead of yelling about video games on a forum.
They introduced sun paladins and animal paladins, but god forbid the exact opposite of light in shadow be allowed to use what is fundamentally the same force.

" Rulen is one of the few known high elf paladins."
He’s only there for the sake of having a Paladin trainer there.

He is a high elf, he is a Paladin.
You said there were no high elf paladins, you were wrong.
Also what do you think trainers do?
Train races who can play certain classes. He’s the exception, not the norm.
Only takes one to set a precedent, so void Elf paladins here we come.
Hate to admit it but Tauren Paladins did start because of this.
Also removing all posts. I’m tired of arguing, Blizzard doesn’t care about lore, players don’t care, why should I? Let it all burn.

And yet, they could have picked a human or a dwarf. They did not.
Leaving aside the joke character of Isimode (although I don’t see why we should have to, Zen’kiki is STILL the only canon Darkspear Druid) there are also Caladis Brightspear and Frostfencer Seraphi. Not to mention the generic Siver Hand Shieldbearers who appear both as an element of the 18h cooldown vanguard ability in the order hall, as well as randoms from the recruit system.
Yes, like his own, in the biggest known high elf hub.
