I know this topic is being discussed and I don’t want to add anything more to it but I want to share this and open this up for discussion for my better understanding of the situation.
I was a minimalist for a long time. I started healing during Dragonflight and never had addons to help me. Only recently I was introduced to decursive which notifies me when I need to cleanse an ally or remove a curse. I haven’t tried healing yet with the new patch in the boss fight that comes to mind in The Dawnbreaker. The chime decursive makes when a curse or bleed needs to be dispelled was such an improvement for my game play and ability to know when I need to use them. Simply click a little box and boom your friendly player won’t die to a bleed or curse.
I believe there are visual signs that have always been there but I tend to see them too late most of the time. This addon was so helpful. Does the new patch have a visual or sound when the dispel needs to happen?
Also other addons like DBM would alert to a dispel but nothing was as good as decursive in my opinion.

The CDM has capability for sound alerts but I think at the present time it’s mostly for your own abilities. I might be wrong but if you’re looking for something like what Decursive did, the CDM likely needs additional development, and may be months out from such functionality.
Looks like Decursive is still active for retail on wowup, it should be able to continue doing that. If it doesn’t currently work then just give it some time, a lot of addon creators are in the process of catching up.
They were left in limbo for way too long wondering what hooks they’d even have to work with, so couldn’t start doing any useful work until recently.

So I guess raid frames does a box animation when someone is poisoned or cursed now. I haven’t really seen it in the 5 party overlay though. Not sure what that looks like yet. Wish all this could help my HPS and DPS 
You can tell the vanilla UI to use raid style frames for parties.
My confusion though is that it doesn’t seem to work during boss fights. Like in Floodgate on the bomb bosses, when someone gets the ring around them that you dispel when they have it on a bomb(s), that doesn’t show the box highlight around their frame. You have to look for which player has the small little icon on their frame.

It does, IF you turn on raid-style party frames and enable indicators for things you can dispel.
All of those options are turned off by default.
Blame ElvUI, and the number of players who stripped their UI down beyond the bones of minimalist to remove useful information in pursuit of it looking ‘clean’ for screenshots.
No idea. But Healbot does. I think Decursive is still alive and being updated, as well.
Oh nice, thank you I’ll check. I’m using raid-style frames and just assumed I had the indicators on since they are on for trash.
I used to use decursive but now use Clique which allows you to set up click casting on built in raid/party frames. I use raid style party frames and the ‘show dispellable debuffs’ setting.
The sounds were definitely helpful and without them I just moved the party frames over an inch or two so they easier to see. I have found that without decursive you are required to pay attention a little more so you know when people are gonna get debuffs you can dispell, as opposed to playing a mindless game of whack-a-mole where you click a box when you hear a sound. Definitely takes a bit of time to adjust but the difference is minimal after a slight amount of practice.
I was looking in the settings and I’m not sure where party raid frames option is?
Options > Interface, scroll 2/3rd the way down
I don’t see a setting that makes party frames to raid frames?
