Add-ons specifically decursive

I know this topic is being discussed and I don’t want to add anything more to it but I want to share this and open this up for discussion for my better understanding of the situation.

I was a minimalist for a long time. I started healing during Dragonflight and never had addons to help me. Only recently I was introduced to decursive which notifies me when I need to cleanse an ally or remove a curse. I haven’t tried healing yet with the new patch in the boss fight that comes to mind in The Dawnbreaker. The chime decursive makes when a curse or bleed needs to be dispelled was such an improvement for my game play and ability to know when I need to use them. Simply click a little box and boom your friendly player won’t die to a bleed or curse.

I believe there are visual signs that have always been there but I tend to see them too late most of the time. This addon was so helpful. Does the new patch have a visual or sound when the dispel needs to happen?

Also other addons like DBM would alert to a dispel but nothing was as good as decursive in my opinion.

The CDM has capability for sound alerts but I think at the present time it’s mostly for your own abilities. I might be wrong but if you’re looking for something like what Decursive did, the CDM likely needs additional development, and may be months out from such functionality.

Looks like Decursive is still active for retail on wowup, it should be able to continue doing that. If it doesn’t currently work then just give it some time, a lot of addon creators are in the process of catching up.

They were left in limbo for way too long wondering what hooks they’d even have to work with, so couldn’t start doing any useful work until recently.

So I guess raid frames does a box animation when someone is poisoned or cursed now. I haven’t really seen it in the 5 party overlay though. Not sure what that looks like yet. Wish all this could help my HPS and DPS :man_shrugging:t2:

You can tell the vanilla UI to use raid style frames for parties.
