Nope. Those who earned them then have the right for them to remain special.
About the only change I’d agree with would be to make them Account Bound.
NOTE: I don’t PvP so I have none of them.
No. Let them remain exclusive. I love those mounts to death, think they look amazing, and am really jealous of all that have them.
I’d never want that taken away from them. That’d be selfish. Account-bound for them would be nice (should those with it be alright with it) but the entire point is to earn it at the point in which you are able. If you don’t, then you’re out of luck.
Also, before anyone whines about “But raid mounts!” points to:
As much as I’d love to have one. I think they should stay retired.
Just… Yeah. Account bound would be a nice idea. Not sure why they wouldn’t be. I could understand if it was a faction account thing I guess, but anything more than that seems silly.
As said mythic raid mounts can be obtained after the raid isn’t relevant anymore, but I think a way to get pvp mounts would be to have an absurd low chance at glad level in your weekly chest to get one of the old ones.
And Pvp also get their season titles and achievements comparable to pve ones.
I think all mounts account bound or no mounts account bound makes sense, sans faction limits.
Though my personal preference was that all achievs, mounts, etc be NOT account bound. I feel like this really detracted from making my characters feel unique and have personal achievements. Unpopular opinion, but when I go back and play classic etc its prevalent.
I’ll always regret not getting a BC Glad nether drake but I don’t agree with bringing them back. There are new ones every season, and getting one represents the work you did that arena season.
I understand that the Devs want it to be exclusive to the character that earned it because it is a trophy.
However, many elite rewards are contradictory to this - and are account wide for many popular pve achievements and rewards. Here are some examples from my account. (both pvp and pve)
challenge mode armor: class wide on account.
challenge mode weapons: account wide
Celestial Defender : Server first 25 man Algalon
-awarded to only 25 players per realm. unobtainable title
-ACCOUNT WIDE
Wrathful Gladiator Tabard: Transmoggable account wide
-this honestly took higher rating to earn then my BC glad drake.
PVE Raid mounts from end mythic bosses: earned when content was current. account wide
(still obtainable but low drop chance)
Elite pvp gear : Class wide transmog on account.
Most pvpers don’t even care about old Glads/achievments when forming groups ect.
I wish that maybe after a gladiator mount is 10+ years old we just make them account wide?
Raiders don’t lose their titles or elite trophies when they play their other characters or reroll - why do pvpers?
I would agree, only they took away the hardest earned achievements in this game (the old PvP titles and HWL/GM gear) and put them in RBGs. To me, all other PvP items and titles are worth less (not worthless) and shouldn’t be so highly prized if the old ones are not now.
I would definitely vote account bound. I don’t have one BTW. I sort of like the way they left early PVP titles character based, mainly because I had different titles for my different characters. But as a general rule I favour account bound items.
No. Gladiator mounts are trophies for playing at the top end and competing at the highest levels of organized pvp. It doesn’t matter if they’re no longer used. If you want a gladiator mount, go get gladiator.
I’m glad they added them back. Nothing was more frustrating then seeing some awful player that AFK’d 16 hours a day for 6 months via account sharing in Vanilla keyboard turn in their amazing Grand Marshal Tmog or stand around and be useless.
Getting 1800 in RBG’s was the only achievement I ground out of spite of all the bad GM/HWL’s that infuriated me with their sub-par gameplay.
To stay on topic - Make Titles/Mounts Account wide.
