The new cosmetic effects are pretty cool, but it would be nice if I could get an item that lets me add the effect to items I got without the cosmetic.
Just last week, my guild did 3 trials Nefarian, and I got an Ashkandi. The problem? For some reason, if it drops from Nefarian’s corpse, the weapon doesn’t have the Shadowflame affix, but the weapons that dropped from the chests during that very same kill did have the affix.
This preserves the visual look as a distinction for people who have done the hard mode, but it means you can show off your accomplishment, and enjoy the visuals of your weapon(s), even if you got your BIS during a normal run, and then did hard mode later.
Fix the weapons so that nefarian drops shadowflame weapons AND give us an item we can use to put the affix on a weapon that I got from “normal” bosses.
