Add missing "Whelps on Strings" toy before July 25th

NA players who never missed a Day on their Little Scales Daycare storyline and Daily Quests will achieve “Daycare Derby” on July 25th but the reward for this achievement is not yet in the toy collection.

Yup, I got the same issue. I relogged and completely exit the game. Nothing.

I guess it’s actually not a toy, since it’s not in uncollected toys.

same. had a broken item in the mail from Postmaster, that wouldn’t go into my inventory. idTip said it was the same itemid that wowhead has for the toy. hopefully gets fixed soon!

i wasn’t smart enough to take a screenshot of the item in the mailbox with the tooltip. re-logging and now it’s just the message in mailbox rather than an item.

Same here, and my tooltip wouldn’t even load.

Yep. Received an in-game mail with the broken item attached. Clicking the broken item removed it from the mail, but didn’t place anything in my inventory or toy box.

I also have this issue. Outside of the item not being in the toy collection. It seems that the achievement completes when you take the last race quest not upon completion, which causes the toy to try and be added to your inventory when you are in a loading screen, thus getting mailed to you. When you try to take it you get an on screen error about not being able to take item because you can’t have duplicates but you don’t have one in your inventory (the game thinks you do but you don’t). So when I contacted support they also told me it was already in my inventory even though i couldn’t see it (I even turned off all addons, renamed cache, wtf, and interface folder so that it would recreate them. But nothing worked.

So there are a few things that need to be fixed

  1. add toy to collection tab
  2. have achievement complete upon quest completion to avoid mail issue
  3. clear flag that makes game think people have it in their inventory
  4. either add the toy to peoples collection that have achievement complete or re-mail the item.

Hope this gets fixed quickly because I like to collect things and would love to have this in my collection.

Unable to use it directly ( /cast whelps on strings ), so it’s not simply a visual bug with the collection.

(I suppose there’s a slim hope that it’s inadvertently dependent on the other achievement for collecting all 5 whelps that we should finish tomorrow? I guess we’ll find out soon)

edit: nope, getting the last whelp didn’t unlock it
