I just want to be able to marry an orc dude :3 love the dynamic between panda and orc… It’s kinda specific, but hey, that’s just my thing . That’s part of the beauty of marriage systems
But aside of that, why doesn’t the game have a marriage system yet though? I kinda feel like it should have. FF14 does it among other games, i mean, its not a FF14 thing plenty of other single player games do it such as Skyrim even(still sad i cant marry jzargo in that game though )
WoW being an online game and doing that would be nice. A game like wow creates very special friendships so i think its natural the option should be there
After all, social interaction is a huge part of the game.

In ESO you get xp bonus for questing with your married partner.
Though knowing WoW players they’d just marry their alt accounts.

Ok. As long as it is purely a for fun thing and doesn’t give you buffs or anything that unmarried players wouldn’t have. Just a toy at most.

Nothing stopping you from binding yourself to another player in-game. Marriage is a Christian tradition with some legal stuff tacked on, it doesn’t have anything to do with wow.
Would much rather see them implement a family tree type thing that allows me to pick a family name, like SWTORs Legacy system.

Actually it not. The courts are the one that give out marriage stuff.

This game doesn’t focus on romance. Romance serves no point beyond furthering the plot. We see it all the time.
I play this game with my girlfriend and do all forms of content with her. Marrying in game would be amusing and fun, sure. But it’s not the point behind it.

I am referring to the origin of modern marriage ceremonies in the western world.

Yeah I would just looooooooooove all the random whispers I would get from people would you marry me? At the end of any kind of run.
Not to mention my Mage is on Moonguard. How would I ever play my Mage again.

What would an in game marriage do that can’t be done with RP?
If that was in the game i’d be getting married and divorced weekly. I don’t mind the system but I wouldn’t personally ask for it.
Okay Barbar
I get the social interaction thing but setting up a system like that is gonna cost us a raid tier. Especially since there will probably be achievements and pets/toys/mount tied to it.

Seriously it’s a suggestion and if you want to see it happen keep on going selling it to others. What do you see that’s possible with this system that we can’t get in other ways ie role playing?
The marriage system is super cute in FF14 but I don’t think it’ll fit in WoW unfortunately. You got a whole war going on between factions, your loved one could die (IK they can respawn in game because it’s a game but think on a “What if”/more real scenario). And what about cross faction stuff if you dare set that up? Boy you’d be considered a traitor. (Though I guess those that want to do it for the roleplaying aspect can go cray cray xP)

I don’t want it to have achieves and mounts cus then I would have to do it and I don’t wanna get married to some random stranger on a game. even if it is just in the game like I said at max the thing you get is a toy. As I don’t want to be forced to do that.
