Considering how the current renowned boxes drop battle pet tokens, why not add a currency that can’t be used for character progression?

You can technically earn the rep via pvp as well so like

Only if getting one puts your character into Warmode/PvP for an hour which can’t be clicked off and doesnt degrade during offline time. (Maybe you could turn it off by deleting the item, for those who don’t care to bother with it.)
I mean, if you want a PvP reward, you could always deal with it and fight for the thing, or go find a very private place somewhere to fish for an hour. You might survive just fine. 
This seems fine. It would just let PvE folks buy last expansion’s non-elite gladiator appearances.
Elite sets and current expansion sets would still be the draw to try PvP if they REALLY want to suffer. PvP is absolutely awful. Why do I keep PvPing?
