lmao what even is this?
Those “movement skills” all have cooldowns. If you can move 30% faster without popping them you can save them for more important moments straight up making you better in all content.

If you’re in pve, you’re not needing that much movement speed in general. In pvp, if someone is kiting you, they’re not relying on you just running to them the majority of the time, they’ve got a slow on you, or a root, or a cc.
Man, people are really angry about this. They literally have wings, so they can use their wings. It’s not a big deal.
Right and if you move faster that makes all those ccs stronger…
Ok then give every racial to every race or remove them entirely. The racials of Orcs and Forsaken sure do come in handy in PvP too, for example.
Assuming you’re only bunnyhopping and not having to cast anything.
I have, and that’s a huge part as to why I’m saying what you are saying is at best completely irrelevant.
Congratulations. You can now make an awkward jump in order to get a speed boost. Just the same way demon hunters could do when they are about to hit the floor … and precisely no one ever used that. Except in fringe cases, at which point it is a conversation topic only relevant because it becomes an expression of skill for a mostly negligible niche trick.
For stuff that actually matters, that stuff gets prioritised. Something like this? Nah’, it ain’t a priority in any way shape or form. Especially since other races are most likely still going be king and Dracthyrs are going to be neat, niche, and nice for those who pick 'em up.
A thing that won’t happen. It hasn’t happened to date to any race no matter however broken they are except when there’s been something that the top 0.01% of players can truly break … at which point only 0.01% of the top players race change.
Which I’m just going to add here … means that it is only the top of the top players who would change to it if even they would do so, which isn’t even remotely a certainty. So, no - not everyone, whether literally or linguistically, will race change to dracthyrs.
Your concerns aren’t rooted in reality.
I stopped writing them all out because my point is that you can ALWAYS make the argument that the OP is making. Which makes it a moot and pointless argument. You have to actually back it up with some examples in order to demonstrate it’s validity which even the OP admits is pure speculation by saying that it is a “looming concern.”
Which also means that it isn’t a concern until it has been demonstrated to be one. Right now it is merely theorized to be one … just like how you can invent and “theorize” about circumstances in which literally every single racial could be “broken.”
I’d rather be slow than play a non-Evoker dracthyr lol
They look so bad as other classes
The classes that are a issue are ones that don’t…
Speaking as an elite dh main I dont ever not do that…why would I not?
When you’re slowed, it completely kills all momentum gained from bunnyhopping. So someone who is being kited, and is slowed, gains no increased speed.
no… its even better
No it isn’t.
barring a truely massive 70%+ slow it really is
Edit : The speed from glide canceling isn’t effected by it much like movement boosts
You keep bringing this up as if DH doesn’t have felblade with practically no cooldown and 2 charges of fel rush and vengeful retreat. You don’t even need to do this most of the time. Glide canceling doesn’t contribute as much to DH’s insane mobility as you’re making it out to. It doesn’t contribute nothing at all, but it’s not the deciding factor in their insane mobility. Just like for Dracthyr rogues and warriors, they’re not going to be relying solely on this to stay in range and it won’t be the deciding factor in them staying in range.
If you play any melee other than DH, you know if you’re relying on base movement speed because sprint, heroic leap, charge, etc., are on cd, you’re already in deep trouble. It’s not going to be that big of a deal except in niche circumstances. And maybe since high end PVP relies entirely on niche circumstances, it might be an issue there. But I don’t think it’s going to be a big deal.
Right just as you keep trying to dismiss how that outside of extremely specific small moments of a fight this isn’t a massive mobility boon that exerts an extreme amount of pressure.
You think it isn’t a big deal. That is super. People who know what they are talking about see the massive issue it is.
Dracs can’t double jump. That’s not a thing.
There’s also the matter you can’t glide in any direction. It’s always forward.
Not to mention, you simply can’t cast anything while gliding, as it interrupts glide.
People might try to abuse it, but it won’t be that different from a 15% movement speed talent. Probably worse, considering all the effort required.
Let me guess… 1600 rated life time high?
I just don’t think it’s a massive mobility boon. In some circumstance it is a mobility boon, but I don’t agree it is massive. I would need to see it in action to really see if it’s actually an issue. I would need to see a class other than DH which is already mobility king use it to great effect.
Just get rid of all racials. Let people play character they like at this point. It’s ridiculous the differences that little archaic feature is causing.
We got classic anyways for that detail, that’s where it belongs at that point.
