Speaking as someone who has hit elite on a dh multiple time jumping then gliding then canceling is roughly a 30-40% speed boost to movement. It is a significant buff that likely outshines all other racials alone.
You would effectively need to add a 10% more dmg taken to balance it out

Iâm aware how it works. I do it on my evoker all the time. It really doesnât make a massive difference in my gameplay, so that is why I am skeptical.

Because evokers only use it to defensively kite because of their kit. It isnât a offensive tool like it would become to warriors and rogues. It also becomes extremely powerful to hunters who can keep up all of their damage or most of it with moving and whose class is built around kiting.
It is less of a issue for mages and warlocks but how about instead of inviting ruin we take the word of players who actually know how this works out?

You are at the character creation screen.
Do you pick the race that moves 35% faster than all the others and negates mechanics?
Yes, you do pick the race that moves 35% faster and negates mechanics.
Hmm, this is incorrect.
because of an ability that stacks with no other movement abilities

Double jump to every race would be cool, as evidenced by Plunderstorm
double jump isnât really the issue but the glide part of it. If they make it so only evokers and dhs can it would be alright
why would it need to stack?
You move 35% faster all the time. Why would it need to stack?
I definitely would.
Iâm not really in practice able to move that much faster as an evoker or to negate mechanics.
If I want to play something that negates mechanics, I play a Death Knight.

They shouls disable both in combat for all classes except evoker. Its actually a huge oversight
Disabling it in rated would be good enough. Pve wise it rarely comes up
If you win but youâre a Dracthyr then you didnât really win anything.
When youâre not moving much faster than 35% faster because of other movement abilities, some of them even in stealth.
Non issue.

Not really, Hunters donât have much movement to start with only two fairly week tools both on mid to long cds.
Their entire kit is slowly others down a movement buff they can perform without upkeep is pretty huge
Are we reducing cast distance for other races too?

I think the problem is people are comparing base movement speed to base movement speed.
Yes, just running, with no alterations, a Dracthyr is going to be able to move faster by bunny hopping.
But that is ignoring movement speed increases. AFAIK you donât move faster while glide canceling as a Dracthyr while your movement speed is increased because itâs based on physical momentum, not movement speed. Iâm pretty sure a Dracthyr rogue that is sprinting will be faster than a Dracthyr that is bunnyhopping, but will importantly not be even faster while sprinting and bunnyhopping.
Because stealth is active all the time, right?
Because all classes have stealth active and get the speed boost from it all the time, right?
Issue detected.
Letâs consider a class that already has movement speed buffs - Druid. Travel form and cat form, sprint and roar.
Jump glide is still a fantastic addition if you could get it, now you can move 35% faster all the time while spamming instants.
I⌠donât get the point you are struggling to make. Is it that in the absolute best case scenario with the class that benefits least its only a big advantage not a massive one?
That base movement speed doesnât matter because the majority of the time youâre using movement abilities to move around, not just running.
