Add guardian/battle elixir system to SoM

Lol no

Isn’t everything an opinion though?

No, because consumables exist in the game as a usable item. That’s not opinion, that’s fact. An opinion is shygirl saying consumables are for bad players. There is no grounds here. Consumables are crafted usable items

Don’t think that’s what he was arguing. Think they were more so talking about the amount rather than whether or not they should exist period.

I think they should be available for use as there is actually skill based on consumption usage (timing pot CDs optimally) but you are knocked in the head if you think buying/farming consumes for speed runs in Naxx was fun and meaningful gameplay. It was a chore no different to doing Tourghast or running 10 14 and up M+ runs in SL right now.

It runs both ways. Stacking consumes means a more active game, though somewhat soulless in my opinion. Guardian/Balance removes borrowed power from the equation but that the cost of really pushing to the limit what a character does plus can have ramification on the health of the world outside of instances.

Changing the cons system is going to radically change the economy. You would remove resources from the game, nodes etc. is the trouble even worth it? Some changes are just not very well thought out. Again, it is an opinion to think farming consumables is bad or a chore. I personally am indifferent, I don’t love it or hate it. I do it because it makes my pvp/pve gameplay deeper

Nobody is suggesting this.

I find it archaic and boring. It made sense back in the day but now its just too much given the meta. Still did it all of classic and still do it now in TBC. Still hate it.

Not all games need to be 100% comfortable to be fun

100% understand that, but it should be more so in the level of execution of mechanical skill (i.e. how well do you hit your buttons) rather than spending every waking moment to farm consumes.

Though, this would largely be made comfier if they actually put in efforts to prevent RMT from inflating the market.

I agree with the rmt and bots but banning them is simply never going to happen. It’s not even worth us bringing it up because they pay blizzard for subs. All they can do is act like they care

Painful truth unfortunately. Will say that partly dug into my hatred of having to farm consumes or in my case do countless DM:N runs just to afford stuff. Now it’s switched to me mindlessly farming dark runes in Scholo or flying around mining bored out of my mind. At least mining there is the satisfaction of murdering people over nodes but even its dumb bots most of the time that keyboard turn to you then start attacking (if they even do that).
