Look, you need to find a way to add friends from other servers. This B-tag only is getting old.
I don’t mind playing with people when I’m on a specific toon, but when I’m farming, on my bank alts, when I’m being a moody sod and want to quest alone in the greatest zone ever - the Twilight highlands. No thank you. I don’t think it’s fair that, having been blessed with +70 Sexual Charisma, I should have to endure constant whispers of “come and play with me.”
Just let me add people as friends, regardless of their server.

The both funny and sad part is that, despite Real ID, and that fiasco…
The Developers really haven’t made it functionally easy to play with friends across realms?
Have they?
Can’t you just use appear offline for those times?
How are people from another server going to find you in this situation?
Invite to group?
Past that, Blizzard is pretty well set on keeping players from working together as said players choose.
Always CRZ just causes issues…
Sometimes you want to play with someone and queue things with them but not play with someone else your only interaction with is “q 2s?”
I’d love an option to add characters to character specific friends list
Appearing offline also tells everyone you’re appearing offline. You logout 3 times in a row in chat box so its easy to tell when someone is hiding

That’s confusing. The ability to add characters from other servers then makes the situation worse in the theoretical, right? Not better.
I don’t see how that solves this.
“sometimes I want to talk with this person and sometime I don’t, so I added their character” They could do the same for you. Right? But bnet appear offline doesn’t effect the in game friends list since that isn’t a part of Bnet.
So if the objective is to add a character from another server as a friend (instead of Bnet) in order to avoid them talking to you when you aren’t in the mood I think the ability to add characters on other servers just makes it harder on you.
The real solution is to just throw up a DND or simply say “Sorry, I’m busy” if they send a message and you don’t feel like talking. Far better way of dealing with things.
Just go onto their server and add it to friends list the normal way without Btag.
I’m not seeing it that way
If i meet joe while doing a random bg i probably want joe on my paladin’s friend list for potential 3s or rbgs on my paladin in a few months from now and don’t really care about him when i’m on my hunter or when he’s on a low level toon lol. I love bnet but i’d definitely get value out of adding a person’s specific toon to friends list over their entire account. Outside of my favourited friends i rarely have any idea of who’s on and have to set notes for what class/spec a person plays because you end up with so many contacts and then you mouse over them and they’re on an alt and its like why would i ever have added this class who is this person

Thanks, Battlemaster.
It’s always so unclear to me how such simple concepts remain beyond the grasp of so many Forum-goers minds, but here we are.
