Add Details to LFR Popup

Can you add Details on the LFR Queue popup like how many bosses are down and then i can decide if i want to join that group? I have had to eat the Debuff because the first group i joined already downed the first boss and now i’m having to leave groups because i keep joining Raids that have first boss down and i need that boss. Why would i waste my time on staying and spending Gold on repairs on bosses i have already did for rewards.

They used to have that during Cata. They removed it because nobody wanted to join a non fresh run.

^ This. Used to be that way, was removed on purpose to prevent exactly the behavior the OP wants to repeat.

As annoying as it is, you are making it worse on yourself too.

You are better off finishing off the raid, then queuing again. You will be put in a fresh raid the second round to kill the boss you missed and not incur the deserter debuff.

Your suggestion is better, but thought you might at least benefit from knowing that.

Edit: I wasn’t around for Cata, so never experienced what these peeps above are talking about, though it stands to reason if it was already tried and removed.

so i should waste hours in raids on useless bosses that i have already downed then just trying to complete my run? i get it but the raid is still new and everyone is learning i wouldn’t be so picky if its like months down the road when people know the bosses and it goes pretty smooth, but when i queue and get the same raid with first boss down you get annoyed.

Start your own group for N instead. Then bail after that first boss if you wish :upside_down_face:

Just finish off the raid you get, then queue another.

The second raid you get will be fresh 100%.

Only thing is you perpetuate the cycle, by leaving raid after killing the bosses you need.

But, such is LFR life.

No, you should join a raid team and kill the bosses with them.

If you choose to rely on random internet strangers in LFR to play the game… well, that’s on you.

A lot of what you may consider quality of life missing from the LFD tool was removed ages ago. We cant have nice things because of the abuse it would incur

If they told you the current situation, how could they dupe people into back filling raids?

Blizzard had to settle the issue between the LFR players whining that their runs could never be completed, and the LFR players whining that the one and only boss they needed before ditching everybody else was already dead.

Blizzard sided with the former.

You get the debuff for leaving after that first boss in the second queued raid now. That’s what OP is mad about.

And when they go into the 2nd raid to kill the first boss they missed, they continue perpetuating it because now someone has to backfill them, and they’ll also have to go back and kill that first boss in another raid they won’t finish.

They used to display it, but then they got rid of it. As I recall, it was Garalon in Heart of Fear that brought that change about. This is what would happen:

  • Group would wipe, people would leave/be kicked.
  • Group would then wait for people to backfill.
  • no one would join because they would see 2/3 and would want a fresh run (as well as assume it was a fail group)
  • people still in the group would get tired of waiting and then leave, resulting in needing more people to backfill (who werent joining due to the reasons in the previous bullet point)
  • group would then disband, and everyone in that run would then have to requeue, do 2 bosses they had already done and then hope that this group could kill garalon.

This was also prior to them adding in the stacks of determination (as those got added in during… SoO i think)

Determination was added at the start of Throne of Thunder. Same time they started time-gating the LFR wings (because of Determination).

That’s because leaving once you killed the remaining bosses you need simply propagates the issue. Better to shut it down with one unlucky group of people needing to kill a boss for no loot than to have every group from then on suffer the same fate.

I dont like it, but there isn’t an easy fix.

That doesn’t happen to me.

Seems OP is joining a raid, seeing it’s not fresh and then leaving again. That will of course give you deserter.

With the system in place, if you finish the raid, you can requeue into a fresh raid with no debuff and get a fresh raid for the boss/es you missed.

Not saying it isn’t annoying, just offering a suggestion to make it easier and less time consuming.

It’s wild Blizzard has to act like a parent in a social mmorpg to prevent bad behavior. So much selfishness out there holy moly.

Must be a bug for you since it’s happened to everyone since they made the change a week or two ago.

Hard to call leaving a raid that you’re not eligible for loot off the 2 remaining bosses because you already killed them when you got pulled in as a backfill earlier bad behavior. Especially when your presence as an illegible member reduces the amount of loot that drops for everyone else.

No, join, finish the last one or two and requeue to the front of the line.
