You’re adding Dual Spec for Phase 3 (woo!).
Since we’re adding WoTLK features to SoD, it’s time to add Behsten & Slahtz so players can disable XP gain.
The Dev team has made statements to the effect of wanting players to make alts.
With the gear from BFD being largely BiS in 29 (and even 39 in some cases), plus the Ashenvale event, we might see an emergence in low-level PVP in the 29 bracket. And with Gnomeregan and the Blood Moon event, we might also see an increase in the 49 bracket.
“GRRRRRR I HATE TWINKS BECAUSE TWINKING IS BAD AND UNFUN AND BAD AND CHEATING AND BAD”
Okay, you’re wrong. BUT – with BFD, the BiS gear isn’t accessible only to players looking to invest hundreds of gold into an alt. Literally anybody can get that gear. An active Level 29 bracket (and possible the Level 39 bracket, too) will keep BFD PUGs going indefinitely. Who doesn’t enjoy that Boon (well, up to Level 40 anyway) when leveling an alt? Gnomer and Blood Moon, plus itemization in general (for casters in particular) might make for a really active Level 49 bracket.
Plus, there’s only Classic enchants (which is often another complaint about twinks after TBC). So the best gear is easier to obtain but some power spikes that are specifically caused by enchants (e.g. Level 39 Rogues with double-Mongoose) are not available.
