It seems bizarre to have bags confined to Tailoring only. Leather bags are a thing, so why can’t LWers make bags as well?
Technically they can? I think they can make an 8 slot bag out of vanilla leathers.
More bag flavors would be neat. Dragonscale pouches or something. Not that we need more inventory spaces at this point.
Hopefully this is one of those proffession overhaul things they’re gonna work on
What about the base bag slot/backpack? That way, LW could upgrade that slot and Tailoring can upgrade the others.
Right now leatherworking can make a 36 slot inscription bag as a desirable item. Nvm about the LWing bags. Was getting info from wowpedia but I could have sworn stuff was wrong and checked now. LWing is gucci with a 36 slot for mining and skinning/leatherworking, just like the 36 slot inscription wod bag. No changes needed.
Engineer has 3 bags (fishing/engineering/cooking) they can make that are profession locked and tailoring can make jewelcrafting, enchanting and herbalism for all those professions at 36 slots.
No other bags need to be created for any profession really unless blizz decides to up base bags to 34 (maybe hotfix papa’s bag and mad merchant to 36) while still retaining 36 slot for profession specific only. In which case tailoring will logically be the only profession to then make new 34 slot bags. I say this because it feels like blizz is really keen on keeping a 36 slot limit for bags (likely tech limitation). And before they expand upon that they’ll probably expand the reagent box; give another void storage tab to offload valuables (you can still put mats in regular bank slots); or increase density of consumables and reagents. Which they really should increase consume stacks was so annoying in bfa literally having to keep food, flasks and pots floating in the mail because I had like 5-8 slots left on my main. With the rest being 470+ gear with or without corruptions and a load of desirable corruptions (gushing wounds, ineffable, TD3, vers3, etc) bought before vendor swaps but on stand by in case I needed to shuffle corruption placement for sets. Not to mention the loads of azerite pieces.
I think engineering needs a backpack craftable. Works as a large bag for storage 40+ slot but unique equipped, has all tools needed for gathering and crafting, and a glider usable in combat.
Not sure if it should be sellable or not…
The issue with the profession bags is that they’re often one-and-done for most people, and they also take up an entire slot that completely blocks off all items not related to that specific profession.
Whereas tailors get to make multiple versions of higher-slot bags with each new expansion, something that LW bags don’t hold a candle to.
And …
Bring back those wonderful drums of speed.
I loved the quick, cheap speed boost on demand.
i think there are engineering bag the max is 36
its a cata engineering bag
Yes, I am aware of the various old world bags that are near obsolete due to the size of current tailoring bags.
And take bag exclusivity away from tailoring. What then. Where does tailoring income go from there.
i know its not from the legos lol
thats why most alts have tailoring easy gold
The measley 20 gold/bag profit from each bag?
How about cloth gear?
I’ve made far more gold from cloth leggos than bags. Heck, I’ve made far more gold from ilvl 87 cloth gear than bags.
The issue with the profession bags is they are very out-dated at this point. 36 slots was standard in Cataclysm… when the best bags were 26 slots.
Profession-specific bags need to be well over 40 slots at this point to even bother not using 32 slot bags instead.
