I’m tanking my own keys, and even though they are just +2’s right now (I only got to max level a week or two ago) I still need a healer. My prot warrior doesn’t need as much healing as the rest of my groups do, though. Fortunately for me, those two leavers were both DPS.
I just don’t know if it’s true whether or not those leavers still get loot from the chest mailed to them.
Leavers get loot and rating
True but often the key holder will pass lead to the tank because that is reasonable that the tank would want to be the one to mark targets and such.
Ew, well I don’t like that.
I’ve tried the whole guild thing but between there almost always being some kind of brainless drama eventually and my rather unreliable play schedule, it just never works out for me. I really want to get into mythic+ cause those invitationals are always a blast to watch but it feels impossible to pug anything above a +15 for me so I just carry +2s-5s all day out of boredom. Meet some cool people though.
Yea that’s pretty reasonable. Maybe let groups have assists like raids?
It’s not easy finding a good fit. I have been extremely lucky to be with a crew since late BFA that just works with my schedule and we are all on the same page. I can understand the struggle trying to find a group that works though.
Assist should absolutely be a thing in small group content.
yea that’s considered rude and I would just leave right there and then. I’m surprise that still happens. I know it happened alot back in legion
SMV?
Again if it happens when people leave before 1 pull started then yes report is sorry backside and ignore him so you never get to party w/ him again. But as I’ve said I have done tons of M+ and personally it never happened to me and I know a few people in the forums who are active m+ runner who has the same experience like me. So again it’s not as rampant as you think. And if it did happen to you sorry but it’s a once in a blue moon thing and you probably not see it again anytime soon.
No they will not get loot in the mail. But they will be awarded w/ completion and have a great vault for the end of the week reward
The problem has always been that no system has a telepathic capability. If someone leaves no game system can tell whether they have been accidentally disconnected, had a computer issue (eg their cordless mouse and/or keyboard went flat), there was an accident or health issue in the home, etc. If a player says nothing, the system and the players with them have zero idea why they quit and it would be inappropriate for innocent players to be tarred with the same brush as rage quitters or griefers.
Until some system can be figured out which is fair to all, it will continue to be the way it is now.
As always - and many others will doubtless say - by far the safest way to avoid this situation is not to do things with a group of people you don’t know. Join guilds or communities or discord groups or just collect a bunch of friends - do runs with people you can fairly sure will have similar attitudes to the instances that you do.
Sadly, it has. And it is always from people doing pugs. Which sort of points to the problem and the obvious solution.
What is the obvious solution? Seriously asking
Sry, I meant SMB, just Shadowmoon Valley came to mind. I’m glad to hear you’ve have rampant success in mythic+. Its just really unfortunate when it does happen, even if only rarely.
That isn’t viable for a lot of the playerbase though. I am in a guild yet i pugged all of ksh
Oh SBG. Shadowmoon Burial Grounds. And yes it’s annoying if it did happen. I know I’ll be tilted as well. But what can you do. And I agree those people need to be punished for griefing especially if they are repeat offender.
Guilds tend to be a hassle if you don’t manage to find the perfect one and aren’t communities/discords still just a bunch of random people?
Other people seem to find groups: I did a quick scan of the Community list just now and found a bunch of comms looking for people to join for activities including M+. I cant be bothered checking Discord but Im assuming there are still channels there for such an activity.
Yes they are but at least they are people interested in forming social contact for an activity they enjoy which could work out to be better than totally random people you never see again.
My guild is great on the raiding front but i don’t rely on them for m+. It’s surprising to some but getting 5 people reliably to push keys can be more difficult than setting a raid schedule
Sure. Vote to continue, or abandon. Majority wins. Anyone leaves, they can’t queue for 24 hours. Premade/people who joined a group together count as 1 vote. If it’s a 4man with 1 pug, the pug’s vote counts as 2 votes to the premade’s 1.
That just doesn’t sound like a good voting scheme at all lol
