Why would I be jealous? My main is a shaman and plate objectively has better trqmsmogs.

Having a 4th armor class for two classes just doesn’t make sense

Demon Hunters should have been mail honestly. We do desperately need a new mail class though. I can’t believe there are still only 2. If we could get another spec that uses bows/guns/crossbows as well that would be cool. And maybe allow Rogues and Warriors to use Warglaives because it’s really annoying seeing them drop and the Hunter/DH not needing them.

I still use a lot of WotLK era gear for mail mogs

And even Wrath mail isn’t all that great.

I think it’s fine the way it is and adding more classes to the leather pool is a bad idea. Just open up transmog across armor types.

they should just switch DH to mail

If you can equip it you should be able to mog it.

Makes sense, the only other nature themed class is in leather, as is the mail armor type is really kinda lacking any form of identity. About half of it’s robes/elemental stuff for Shaman and the 50% that’s remotely hunter themed looks like they threw bits and pieces of the nearest raid boss together.
