Instantly recreate the character at level 1 and wipe the inventory accordingly but lets me keep the same character without having to rebuild them from memory and it would be nice to be able to stay in a guild too
I actually think this would be a fine addition to Hardcorpse.
One caveat: as long as it is creating a completely new character that simply has the same lvl one attributes as the dead toon.
Yeah I want the character to completely reset progress-wise but still feel like I’m playing the same one if I want. It would also be nice to avoid the work of rejoining a guild and it would be nice to remember my friends too so I can keep the friends I make in game
Or what if the “Try Again” button you see in death just seamlessly ported you to the starting zone back at level 1 with a new start
First time I died I was kinda disappointed that’s not what that button does.
I would love to just restart at level 1 with the same name and features.
This would be a great addition to HC. Having to reset settings and character-specific keybinds/macros every time, get invited to the guild again, all that is really not necessary.
You’re expecting a lot out of the Classic team.
there is no classic team, just a big dev team working on bits of everything. thats why it all feels so mismanaged, because it is.
Yes, it’s something sorely needed. In Diablo 3 there’s a “rebirth” feature that allows you to do just this, to recreate a character for a new season. It would be ideal for WoW HC.
Yeah its a good idea but probably they will not spend any significant resources or time on hardcore
This is the first idea that I actually agree with that would enhance hardcore.
It also prevents name sniping which happens because of deathlog announcements.
Name sniping is easily fixed by waiting five minutes.
I don’t think this is “a lot” to be fair, they invested much much more into making HC in the first place. Simply copying a name and appearance into a new character is something an intern could handle.
that is kind of surprising and a bit of a shame at the same time.
Im aware, but doesnt make it not suck for others.
Cool addition to this idea if you go agane on a character they have a buff that just says what level they were when they died previously. So if you got a rogue to level 49, died, and go agane you’d have a buff that said 49 so people know you got this exact character to 49 previously died and went AGANE
uninstall deathlog
what a silly self-made problem
Does deathlog only show others who are using it?
No.
Absolutely not.
It hurt when I punched myself in the face.
So, I stopped doing it.
Although I haven’t had cause to use that sort of feature yet (knock on wood once again) I think it’s an excellent idea.
