But you absolutely can though. Very easily as well. You reach a speed of ~1170% using a single Surge Forward when at maximum gliding speed. And it’s noticably faster than just gliding.
That said i am not complaining about the speed nerf. It did feel a bit weird crossing an entire vanila zone in a few seconds on the 10.1.7 PTR.
After the nerf, DF gliding should be nearly exactly twice as fast as regular flying, with a maximum achievable speed being roughly 1150%. Or nearly 4x the speed of regular flying.
I am fairly certain a lot of folks are taking the speed reduction out of context. Bet they are thinking dragon riding is being reduced by 80 percent instead of being 80 percent of max speed so it’s actually a 20 percent reduction.
Which in all honesty with how small old world zone are compared to DF you probably won’t be able to tell the difference.
I’m curious if they’ve opened up the zone ceilings or if we’re going to smack our dragons into all the invisible zone walls up in the skies that currently exist on live.
It’s hard to tell, but I think they’ve raised it. I had to make an effort to hit the skybox, so flying feels pretty comfortable.
You come in here with your “facts” and “evidence”. Nice try! /s
