Lets be real here playable nerubians arent going to happen. Would i want it? Yes but they have 4 arms and blizz doesnt do weird appendages (aka two headed ogres, tailed naga). I know its not a huge hurdle to get around and honestly blizz can make anything happen if they reallly wanted to but they dont.
So instead what are some more realistic allied races that could be added?
My top option and one ive been excited about is forest trolls. We already have them and if the void in midnight expansion pushes the amani where there is no other option. Even there stubborness can subside and they can join the horde, redirecting their hatred for blood elfs to a even bigger hatred for void elves.
In titan soul i can see vyrkul or a vyrkul like race. I honestly cant see anything else. Maybe the possibilities of tuanka custimization for tauren and blue skin tones for armani to mimic big drakkari.
Why would that come in the world soul saga? Wouldnt they just add it before the end of df? But that is a realistic option as well.
It wouldn’t. But it should right now.

You’d think they would but we’re still missing full-mogs and class selection for Dracthyr currently.
It’s really depressing when you think about it.

They need to just invent more new types of elves, like I mentioned in a different thread, and they could be fire elves, ice elves, mecha elves. Mecha-vulpera would be nice too.
Whatever they add, it needs to be cute and/or hot, so no ogres, no trolls unless they’re hot (like zandalari trolls but those are already in the game), no nagas, etc.

The way gear works is going to require bipedal races. I’d rather they do more work on dracthyr gear rather than Earthen, which are just rock dwarves.
Forest trolls are sexy what so you mean? Did u see that buff sexy female forest troll model? Big buff mommy energy.
Big buff trolls for horde

I think the Earthen are pretty dang cool.
This is a good idea, but which drakonid? The weird four-legged ones or the big two-legged ones? Both? I could see it being a single allied race with a ton of customizations.
Dragonkin are four-legged while Drakonid are the two-legged if you need help differentiating.

Oh. I thought it was all the same thing.
Dragonkin is a blanket term. Dragonspawn are the centaur-like draconic servant race, whereas Drakonid are bipedal. Both are Dragonkin.

We’re going back to Northrend. Odyn and Tyr will have a role.
Vrykul fans may actually get what they’ve been asking for. It doesn’t seem crazy.

Not necessarily, the advent of mechgnomes and drac’thyr prove that Blizzard isn’t scared of just blocking out mog slots and telling us to get over it.
Mounts are probably a bigger hurdle blocking races with more… creative anatomy, like centaurs or naga.

Now I want to see a centaur on a hawkstrider, lol.
Not gonna lie if I could get a playable Naga Warlock I’d totally forgo having any type of mount and walk everywhere if I had to, sure it would take a long time to get to certain places at times but I’d have a Naga Warlock so I’d be happy and if water was nearby I could swim so it would be okay with me.

Drakonids could work as an “expansion bridge race” kind of deal, kind of like the original 4 Allied Races joining at the tail end of Legion.
Taunka and Tuskarr are a must for TLT
It’d be easy enough to let centaurs just run fast and then give them Oh’nara eagle wings or something lol
The problem arises when Blizzard gets grumpy if we don’t engage with their reward structure - which involves a lot of mounts.
I’ll honestly be extremely unsurprised if this winds up happening.
They’ve dropped a lot of breadcrumbs hinting towards playable drakonid.
