Activision vs. CA UPDATE Employees Planning Walk Out

bringing forth a lawsuit does not mean they are guilty.

Of course it does. What are you a non-believer!?

A 2-year investigation should speak volumes.

I hear ya. The woke culture contradiction never ceases.

The people are trashing the company, not the game. We need a change of staff which hopefully will get on the problems we’ve been dealing with 1) Bots 2) Equal PvP (no racials in BGs) 3) Unlawful auto-bans. We love the game, we don’t love the staff. Getting rid of the staff currently would do nothing more than produce beneficial results since clearly, massive allegations of people abusing their positions WHO ARE IN CONTROL OF HOW THE GAME WORKS, is the move. Get rid of the referees, not the game.

Yeah I’m calling shens on that one.

You can dislike something even if you pay for it. Why you ask? because we care about the game, have passion for it. And anyone not bothered by a woman killing herself because of harassment is demented.

You’re paying the company for the game. That’s the point!

Yes, there are people who have irrational spending habits. I agree.

There are programs for that…

Work place discrimination and sexual abuse is prosecutable. If it’s moved on to a lawsuit seeking damages and court fees it’s pretty safe to assume there was no criminal prosecution recommended based on the evidence provided. Best case scenario for the alleged victims this ends with “settled out of court for an undisclosed amount with no party admitting wrong doing”. Which isn’t enough to deter consumers as we’ve seen in the past with other developers.

Bahahaha

If you think about it… the jailer makes sense as a evil entity now…

Seems like someone is a bit of a low immaturity level… projecting their own faults into the creation

It isn’t though. We all want to treat every corporation like it is the damned military where every action reflects on the whole organization top to bottom, side to side, but it just doesn’t work that way. The average corporate employee is like literally any other employee, which means they aren’t particularly egregious in any colorable act of wrongdoing and they’re also quick to placate if called out on it.

There’s a reason the name-and-shame culture works, because people actually feel shame even if they suspect that the other person may be overblowing things a bit.

A lot of information is bound to “come out” but that doesn’t necessarily mean it is all going to be the kind of information that actually budges the needle. A lot of information is bound to come out that exonerates certain named individuals as well. That’s just the nature of these things.

It’s amazing how many people think that this is a lawsuit of the people involved with the alleged violations… it’s not a “he said she said” case. It’s a literal investigation by a state department that feels they have enough of a case to sue (and win against) a multi-billion dollar company after looking into issues for 2 years.

They believe they have enough evidence. Doesn’t mean it will result in any consequences. Just like any other court case. Like I said in my previous comment, this will almost certainly end with a settlement that will be reported on for a day, maybe a week and then forgotten.

That’s just speculation. You might be right, but that’s the point of the trial. The point what I’m saying is is, it’s not just someone accusing someone of something. It was researched and investigated. The State of California believes that a gigantic company discriminated against employees based on sex. That is what matters here and what many people are not understanding. The outcome at this stage is kind of irrelevant until it’s an actual outcome.

Yeah, and there’s still thousands who are still subscribed to Netflix despite their releasing “Cuties” and actively defending it. Consumers gonna consume.

Unless you’re Quinton Flynn or Swifty?

I hope Blizzard gets a taste of their own medicine.

I thought this kind of crap ended after the Corpsegrinder Incident…
